looks like the TCU (Tetris Cinematic Universe) is finally starting to heat up, a bit odd that they jumped from that all the way to 2011.
you could make plenty of films in the timespace between. a film about Nintendo & Sony's inital partnership falling apart, a film about SEGA's struggles to keep up, even a direct sequel to Tetris going into the ramifications of how Nintendo used the IP after the game boy game.

yes, i'm aware this is a different production company with zero ties to the Tetris movie.
 
I hope there's a scene where someone fails horribly and crashes or something and it blares that "OH YEAH" song
