Persona 5 performed decently although it came out in a weird time in Japan. Aside from taking too long to make it to Switch, it released while there's a Splatoon game and a Dragon Quest game charting and Pokemon is releasing in just a few weeks.

I think the selling potential of P5R is gone in Japan. And it's release is in bad timing against giant Switch releases.

It all depends on the shipment amount tomorrow and digital sales.

P3 on PSP and P4 on Vita had much higher starts--but those were the double dips with new content, whereas this is the triple dip that's the same thing from 3 years ago.
