Im worried about that drop in persona sales, that switch version would have helped a lot it seems
P3R performance in japan is quite bad, but didn't it hit a big milestone WW already? i think this just goes to show how much of a monopoly switch has on the country right now, less about how well a certain game does overall anymore.

I don’t think it would be as bad if PS5 had the sw sales of PS4

Yeah, Switch can survive another with a nice selection of software. Especially if Nintendo uses this year to properly ensure migration of NSO accounts from Switch 1 to 2

As long as BC works, how much more is there to worry about? Just log in with the same account, have access to the same old stuff, plus new stuff.
You say this like Nintendo has ever, ever been this straightforward about it. I do expect it to finally be simpler than in the past, but I understand people's concern about this

considering this is how it works for Switch, I don't see too much reason to be afraid

If Switch 2 does get delayed to 2025, might give Switch a better chance of catching PS2 figures.

Mostly referring to stuff like current trend in account accessing like using your biometrics (referenced in the past page) and Nintendo adopting it.

Just an observation that they’re very keen on having the existing active user base migrate to the new platform

Was there a big release at the same time last year? Because that's a big YoY drop otherwise.
Apologies for the late revert and bumping of the thread but the console was available completely in Japan and not required via special means to buy them hence it saw massive bump in Q1
