(note: i've heard reports that the china-only "穿越火线:HD" PC game might also contain Remedy's SP stuff, but that would have it's own issues relating to region-locking.)
yes, another one of these.

while the multiplayer is generally considered horrible, the SP stuff is actually okay owing to who worked on it. being a standard FPS with a few of Remedy's noticable flourishes such as bullet time and blending various live-action scenes into the game.
what's particularly baffling (aside from the servers somehow being needed for the SP content to work.) is that both modes are completely seperate in every way.
the multiplayer uses Unreal Engine 4, while singleplayer uses Remedy's internal Northlight engine.

the work to split it off into a simple & cheap application with whatever online checks it has disabled shouldn't be too rough, but instead they're taking it all down currently.
this notably marks the second project from Remedy to be no longer available for purchase, with the other being the iOS strategy game "Agents of Storm". which reportedly also used a central server owing to it's F2P multiplayer-only nature, alongside the other numerous issues with Apple generally refusing to preserve games released on their devices.
