3D mario already got two further retail releases, and given how hard the movie is leaning in to the 3D world aesthetic, if anything was getting a significant dlc update to tie in to the movie, it would probably be that, not Odyssey.

3D World predates Odyssey, though. The only post-Odyssey thing would be Bowser's Fury, and it's already the small extra addition, not the thing that gets a small extra addition.
 
Oh thats sad, even if it isnt the Oled It could haven been a free DLC for Odyssey with something about the Movie while we wait until the next release :_

As if adding extra worlds wouldn't be just as easy to 3D world as it would odyssey, which is obviously completely ridiculous, I guess you had better let Nintendo know post haste that they've fucked up and are focusing the films mario on the wrong game because it's old hat
