Please?
to me it means don't expect a huge surprise in the end that'll blow everyone's minds
Nate said it would be a solid show based on what he had heard. I know people mostly are interested in first party stuff but I'm guessing there will be some decent announcements here.Everyone forgetting that Nate and some other guy I forget both saying with the info they had they would be surprised if it’s a mini…aka they were probably aware of multiple big 3rd party announcements. Forget nintendoomed posting and bring back the hype
I want to see more Splatoon. And Fire Emblem 17 (which probably lost any chance it had of releasing this year). I don't care about 3rd partyNot sure what the big deal is?
Nothing wrong with having a direct focused on their party partners. How is this 2020? We already know most of their roadmap this year and we have some big games with Xenoblade, Splatoon, and Pokémon.
I feel Nintendo fans biggest enemy are themselves lol
Well, let's see what's in it, at least.
Fixed, to make it a bit more suitable to my desires. Plus, I don't see any other RE game announcements when Capcom's got a pretty full slate on that front, at the moment.
I really Hope some, one of my most anticipated gamesI bet we see DQ3 HD here.
very well thenI didn't get upset with insiders, though. What are you talking about?
If it's the one post where I said "if you're gonna blame someone..." that was referring to another poster saying that the only reason people might have expected a Direct was themselves. Just stating the simple fact that we wouldn't have expected a Direct in this specific week had insiders not mentioned it. It wasn't an indictment of them; they have the information they have and it's not their fault if said information can lead to heightened expectations. I mean, why shoot the messenger?
And, yeah, the curmudgeon thing is a joke lol. I mean, I made a whole-ass bingo competition due to the hope of this being a full, proper Direct. I actually do think that there's a possibility of something really big coming soon as well. It's not serious.
????"3rd Party"
RIP Bayo 3 in 2022.
RIP Metroid Remastered even existing
People were so against this idea, being dismissive and even rude for the mere idea of it being branded a Partner Direct. Heck, some people were going crazy against the idea that it's possible that there will be no "E3" Direct. Yet here we are!I am feeling insanely vindicated right now, even if I eventually conceded to the general mini camp
Also seems like it would’ve been easy to throw in just like 2-3 first party things and have a general, no?Hell yeah, 25 minutes is pretty hefty. Dunno why they are calling it a “mini”.
How is this “Metroid Prime Remaster even existing”??"3rd Party"
RIP Bayo 3 in 2022.
RIP Metroid Remastered even existing
Lots of signs pointed to this even before the insider speculation turning to the partner showcase. You had the correct thought processI am feeling insanely vindicated right now, even if I eventually conceded to the general mini camp
We're going to drown in the weebiness and people will be so pissed. I'm going to love just on those reactions alone. We're about to find out how much weeb can be crammed into 25 minutes.
And I am here for it.
Seriously, Sega, Capcom, Square-Enix, and Atlus don't let me down.
There is when historically they have used this time to show off new first party games. And lets be honest, it is dissapointing to know that we wont see zelda for another 2-3 months at the earliest. People are allowed to feel dissappointed by this. Its great that you are not, but let people feel how they feel. Not sure what the big deal is?

Why do they need to? If things aren't ready things aren't ready. I don't get why this NEEDS to be a general. Also seems like it would’ve been easy to throw in just like 2-3 first party things and have a general, no?
Wait what?So next Week a other general 25 Min Mini Direct with all the 1st Party games! Let's go!
Also, never doubt @NateDrake !
If the game is not announced specifically in June, then all the work behind it is going to be erased. How is this “Metroid Prime Remaster even existing”??
5 year in and we still expect things from SEGA?Seriously, Sega, Capcom, Square-Enix, and Atlus don't let me down.
There's zero chance we have to wait until September for any further first-party news. Not trying to be pessimistic, but we already saw Nintendo use trailer drops to date Splatoon 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. They could go down the same route for Bayonetta 3 and Advance Wars. A 1-2 Switch sequel is potentially the kind of thing that gets announced outside a Direct anyway. NSO updates and Kart DLC can also easily be trailer drops.
Equally, you could end up with a regular Mini by the middle of July which collects that news and announces something like Prime HD. It's just difficult to fathom why they brought back such a reviled branding. Maybe they want to promote third party games more regularly (they do get paid to feature them in Directs) but they don't want to have to include their first-party stuff. Maybe they're experimenting with how they can drive engagement. Again, I'm interested to see what Grubb says about this.
I don't know if they'd want to announce something new this close to Live A Live but I'd welcome a look at whatever Asano has coming up next25 minutes of third party games isn't so bad, though I do find it a bit surprising that they'd do this. How many Nintendo games are dated for the rest of the year? Xenoblade, Pokemon, and Splatoon? I thought they'd want to date some of those fall games asap. I can't imagine they'll wait until September to do that, but this also makes it feel unlikely to me that we'll see any other big releases this year. I hope Bayonetta 3 is still on track for 2022.
Hope we see some new JRPGs tomorrow, at any rate. Is it too early for an Octopath 2 announcement?
An hour and a half from now. When will the Show from Grubb go on?
Nintendo have dropped Mini's and Indie Partnerships without livestreams before and they've had good announcements. Not to mention these partner showcases in the past have revealed games like Monster Hunter Rise and SMTV, and shadowdropped games like Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Also this is significantly longer than most other partner showcases, a good 10 minutes longer than most. There’s nothing wrong with being negative. It’s a Partners direct and it’s not even being streamed.
I think the movie got delayed to 2023 so unlikely we'll see a trailer now. What I could see them doing for the rest of the year
- Partners Direct
- Mario Movie Trailer
- Mariokart Wave 2
- Splatoon Direct
- Pokemon Presents
- September Direct with Switch Sports Update / maybe Metroid Prime Remaster / maybe the rumored FireEmblem Game / Zelda BOTW 2 and if the stars are right a teaser for Metroid Prime 4
- maybe Zelda Direct
- Indie World
- Mariokart Wave 3
Wait what?
