A selection of indie games on Switch that I
really like:
—
Toki Tori 2+ by Two Tribes. What a brilliant puzzle game. I loved Toki Tori 2 (the original release) on Wii U and thought it was a
10/10 game, and Toki Tori 2+ (also available as a free update on Wii U) has some improvements, mainly based on players‘ and reviewers‘ feedback. It‘s not too similar to Toki Tori 1 — for example, it’s not level based, but has a 2D open world. It‘s extremely polished and of high quality, in my opinion. The puzzles are great. Quite a few reviewers thought that the puzzles were too complex, though, so it‘s probably not the best game if you are easily frustrated by puzzles. It was business-wise a bad decision to use a chicken as a protagonist, giving the game a childish look, yet design the game and puzzles for more experienced players. 1080p/60 fps (docked) and great soundtrack, too!

Star Wars Pinball by Zen Studios (indie when the game released). High quality pinball, as you would expect from Zen Studios. 19 fantastic, extremely detailed tables, a lot of single-player missions, HD rumble, TATE mode, and much more. Easily worth 100 €, in my opinion. Digital version is currently on sale for 15 €, and there is a physical version with standard price of 30 €.
— Two other mentions:
Yoku‘s Island Express and
Pikuniku are neat, unique games too. Highly recommended!
Oh, I'm not saying it can't be or anything. It just felt very AA/AAA to play. I genuinely didn't know it was an Indie lol
Yeah, it‘s incredible what Shin‘en is able to output with basically 4 employees (Linzner, Sauter, Wodok, Aleit — anyone else?).
Very efficient, they say it‘s thanks to what they learned when being active in the German demoscene in the Nineties.
