The French script has no hint that Vivain is trans; in fact, the French just implies they're all women.
I haven't seen the English script, but if it's the same then it looks like they're just scrapping it. The Spanish one I guess dropped an 'if you know, you know' hint with putting 'sisters' in quotes.

For what it's worth, Nintendo's not the only one doing this. Taylor Swift started referring to all of her albums as 'the ____ album' for marketing some while ago. I'm not sure what value they believe they're gaining from it, but that's two marketing departments of giant money makers that seem to think it's worthwhile to speak like an AI generated blurb.

If anything, it’s likely for some legal reason in the U.S., and Nintendo is being absolutely clear in communicating that they’re talking about a game due to that. It's a classic case where the US likes to make everything seem more grandiose than it actually is. Things can't just be interesting, they always have to be amazing, exciting and incredible (if you read a US press release and it doesn't contain these words... well, I'd be suprised, I don't think I've read any this year that don't have that qualifier, usually while announcing awful shite). It can kinda sneak itself into language in subtle ways like that. How far a country tends to make its language overly positive can vary pretty heavily (ie. the Dutch are notoriously blunt and direct), but the UK is more... reserved on that sorta compared to the US.
So yeah, it's just culture. Everything in the US is bigger and all that.

Most of the areas felt like they were just thought up on their own instead of “well we need a desert, lava, etc. area.” Only Petal Meadows and Keelhaul Key feel like they did.
