as noted, it's to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series.
it should also be noted that the digital version (mostly, it was originally added to steam as a pre-order bonus for the second game. and was delisted shortly after. if you got it that way, you still get access to this content) of the game lacks the liscensed music, though it's not too hard to mod it back in.
 
Huh, that's neat. Maybe I'll take advantage of this to give it a replay. When I first played it back in the day I had this really weird audio bug that made all the characters outside cutscenes to speak in high pitched, squeaky voices. It was funny as hell, sure, but it took me completely out of the game most of the time. It was basically Mafia: Alvin and the Chipmunks Edition!
