Big week for Touken Ranbu, Arceus attacked and dethroned like any JRPG God, Aloy returns and King of Fighters surprises us.

Hardware:
Nintendo Switch family (includes OLED Lite and OG) 96,929 (this week), 922,833 (YTD)
Switch OLED 59,161 (this week), 473,524 (YTD)
PS5 (all varieties) 25,434 (this week), 162,743 (YTD)
Xbox Series 4,799 (this week), 24,120 (YTD)

Good weeks for Nintendo and Microsoft, great week for Sony which looks like it's catching up with the PS4 (and the PS4 actually did double digits this week).

Horizon PS5 numbers feel like a proxy for how many systems were sold to the local population rather than scalpers.

Is that top game switch? Not familiar with it but it doesn't have the PS qualifiers like Horizon and KOF
It's a switch game part of the Warriors series (think Hyrule Warriors or Fire Emblem Warriors) based on Touken Ranbu which is a browser gacha card game quite popular in Japan it even has its own anime
edit:Forgot to mention is only on switch+pc

Yeah, not surprised at all a Touken Ranbu Musou, it has a big base in japan with not only game and anime but stage plays . I have a very close friend working in Japan and the sister of his wife bought a switch lite just to play it.

I'm always nervous about the Arceus numbers, I want this game to be a success so much. I'm terrified GF won't ever go back to it again, it's too good to be a one time thing.

Same here. I had convinced myself I didn't care about games sales anymore, but then Metroid Dread and Pokemon Legends: Arceus revealed I was only deceiving myself. :p

Arceus doing the work as one game that usually takes two versions! I'm sure it's doing great and they're happy.

I know I am after having played it for 200hrs since launch, love it so much and really want them to continue in that style. GIVE ME MORE!

Great first week for Touken Ranbu, Legends Arceus passes 2 million, and Forbidden West remarkably close between PS4/PS5.
Japan is so interesting as a market, to see a Warriors games outsell a flagship AAA platform exclusive.

Also, Switch sales are up year over year, in fact this is their strongest week 7 sales ever.

it is a success. even if they don't go back to the legends line, I would say a lot of what we see here will make it into the competitive games

COMG has PS4 Elden Ring and PS5 Elden Ring doing better than Tales of Arise (which did 150k on PS4 and 50k on PS5 in its first week).

GEO and Tsutaya info suggests Atelier Sophie 2’s Switch version has pulled ahead of the PS4 version In its first week.
