9. NSW Tengoku Struggle: Strayside 10,912
10. Minecraft 9,873/2,727,866

Well, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 did do better than XB2. Digimon did not survive on PS4 (at least not in the Top 10).

Hardware:
Nintendo Switch family (includes OLED Lite and OG) 73,238 (this week), 2,552,670 (YTD)
Switch OLED 42,355 (this week), 1,325,591 (YTD)
PS5 (all varieties) 39,336 (this week,), 580,646 (YTD)
Xbox Series 8,988 (this week), 154,367 (YTD)

Big week for PS5 and for Xbox Series. Switches did well this week too.

Oof that drop for LAL but I'm sure S-E expected that given the poor sales of the original and plan on international sales to offset them

40k PS5 sold and not a single game in the top 10 , glad to see Xenoblade 3 doing good
6. PS5 Gran Turismo 7 - 12,453/139,888

All thanks to bundles, without bundles the game is now close to worthless due to all the used copies at retail stores from people who were forced to buy it. You can find it for ¥2400 (18$ish) when at release it was ¥7900 (60$ish).

Xenoblade 3 underperforming
I told you guys it needed more big breasted ladies.

Xenoblade 3 sold less physical than some people expected, but physical numbers are less and less relevant anyway. Growth and success of the game can be evaluated when we get digital sales.

I know, that's why there's a /s after the post

Best start ever for the series in Japan (physical sales at least) and first time the opening week hits the six digits. Strong performance.

-80% is the usual drop for a JRPG, it is in the ‘good side’ of JRPG drops , usually they drops are around 80-90%
Oh yea, I expect this will probably continue to keep selling. I'm just a little nervous that it won't outsell the SNES version (which notoriously didn't sell that great to begin with) in the region.

SFC/PSOne standard for a RPG selling well in Japan were much higher, nowadays if a mid tier JRPG sells 270k that is already really good

That's actually better than I expected for Digimon Survive lol. Well at least for the Switch version.

Also nice to see the Xenoblade series steadily growing. I'm personally not expecting some kind of explosive increase in sales for the series, but a steady increase over XC2 would be a great result for a JRPG.

Xenoblade 3 is lower than some expected but there was little reason to expect explosive growth from 2 on the same system. It sold pretty well when you consider the numbers we're missing, ~300k easily I think.

XC3 is 30$ more expensive at retail than digital with vouchers, I’d wait for Nintendo report before judging it’s performance.

This. And seeing the digital purchases continuing to increase is also something we need to account for. Digital included, it likely launched at around 150k.

It's actually probably significantly higher, due to NSO vouchers. Xenoblade 3 costs 8,800 Yen but two NSO vouchers cost 9,800 Yen so you can get Xenoblade 3 digitally and another game for only a bit more.

150k probably is the full physical, including the CE not tracked by Famitsu

Add the digital copies and it could totally be around 250k/300k

Shortly after Mario Party Superstars, Clubhouse Games got a million this time! I'm proud of NDcube, even though they are not the most liked Nintendo developers among fans.

Thank you for reading.

Digimon did better than I thought, ps4 was pretty low. Kuro not even 3k (its a native port) not sure if they offered upgrade paths.

For Anonymous; Code its an interesting mark, the last three games in the series: Robotics(6k), Steins(30k), and Chaos (7k) on launch week. Doing 10k is not bad. Nobunaga switch version almost outsold the ps4 (40 diff)

Wow, PS5 has two games in the Top 30 and one of them is Kuro no Kiseki. Sony keeps winning after all.
