Hardware:
Nintendo Switch family (includes OLED Lite and OG) 96,952 (this week), 1,090,067 (YTD)

Good week for Nintendo and Sony with PS5 catching up even more to PS4. Xbox had stock issues it seems.

Worse than Braverly Default 2 and Octopath which was expected due to pre-order numbers but still good enough , also first time ps5 version outsells ps4 version of any game in Japan (it has sold 13k less than Gran Turismo Sport but with the rise of digital it has probably outsold it )

Meant to mention it but Babylon's Fall confirmed bomba bin in Japan. Selling under 9,474 is oof worthy.
To be fair it could sell more than that if you combine PS4+PS5 but I don’t think is going to it didn’t even show up in the pre-order charts

It's pretty much expected that Triangle Strategy would open lower from the start since it's an SRPG. They aren't as popular as more traditional RPGs.

There are a number of a factors for TS sales: niche genre (more than rpgs), digital sales (being #1 in the jp eshop) and square (who is publishing it in jp) always understocks their games. So it did good for its first week.

I mean it only sold 9k worse than Braverly Default 2 and FE is one of the more popular jrpg franchises nowdays (even if the sim stuff helps a lot) , while I agree they are not as popular as traditional RPGs they can still compete when it comes to AA release like this. Still really good numbers and if this is the start of a new SRPG franchise it would be a really solid first entry

That seems like a really good start for Triangle Strategy considering it’s an SRPG.
