You could put together the entire output of Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Kirby, Pikmin, Xenoblade Chronicles and Splatoon on Switch.
The total amount of games would only tie Mario's.

Super Mario Maker (redundant bar the amiibo stuff not in SMM2?)
Mario Tennis Ultra Smash (does this have anything Aces lacks?)
Super Mario 3D Land (shocked this hasn't happened yet)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (DLC for 3D All-Stars or something with a 2nd run of the whole game maybe?)
New Super Mario Bros. 2 (could have merit, feels unique of the other ones, dunno if NSMB Wii is worth it?)
Yoshi's Woolly World (WHERE IS IT NINTENDO?!)
Game & Wario (can it work?)
Mario Party 10 (might be hard to rework the Bowser stuff?)
Mario Party 9 (can it work? Honestly not sure if remasters even make sense when remakes are on the table)

Then you get to leftover stuff like say Mario Super Sluggers, Mario Strikers Charged, Mario Tennis Open, Mario Golf World Tour, and Mario Sports Superstars (and Mario Sports Mix actually). Oh fuck Fortune Street could be a banger for how unique it is and seemingly hopeless of a follow-up is. That would cover everything Wii, 3DS, and Wii U not on Switch I THINK.

you know, there's an alternate world out there where the suits at King Features were okay with the scrunchy look of the characters in Miyamoto's first Popeye game and none of this even happens

none of it

not even this website exists anymore

There's a bunch of other games like Mario RPGs but I don't think anything is likely to hit Switch aside from Yoshi's Woolly World

How many digital only games would there be?

Super Mario Bros 35
Arcade Archives: Mario Bros.
Arcade Archives: Vs. Super Mario Bros
Arcade Archives: Vs. Wrecking Crew
Arcade Archives: Donkey Kong
Arcade Archives: Donkey Kong Jr
Arcade Archives: Donkey Kong 3

Would that be it?

So Dr Mario, Mario Baseball & Mario's Picross are the only Mario sub-series not on Switch, right? Even then, two of them are on Switch Online so it's just Baseball you can't play on the thing.

Out of the more major ones, yes. The only other one that comes to mind is Mario Sports Mix/Superstars if you count that as its own franchise.

Which I guess you could argue makes Mario Basketball a franchise of it's own? I wouldn't put it past them to get them all out in the next year

Technically the 3D All Stars collection isn't available at retail anymore :p

In all seriousness though, that is great and your list doesn't even include the NSO offerings. There is so much history from the biggest franchise in video gaming history that is on the Switch.

IMO, the biggest omission right now is Super Mario Galaxy 2. I'm betting on an HD remaster at some point in the Switch 2 lifespan.
