Video game genre names are weird. Some describe what you do, such as Adventure, Fighting, First Person Shooter, and Search Action. Some compare the game with another well-known game, such as Soulslike and Roguelike.

Endless Ocean Luminous looks to be an incredibly relaxing game where you simply look at fish. You look at fish. It’s a Fish Looker.

The Nintendo eShop lists “genre” as one of the data fields for each game. This game should be in a genre of its own called Fish Looker.

Please. Nintendo. Call the game what it is: a Fish Looker.
