the continued positive re-evaulation of the prequels thanks to people who watched the films as kids growing up is greatly appreciated, and i really hope the cycle continues with the sequel trilogy.
a lot of the more questionable behavior from the fandom (including constant harassment towards people playing "poorly received" characters) originates from that period, but has been greatly amplified nowadays thanks to the machine of perpetual discourse.
