【ソフト&ハード週間販売数】2週連続で『ステラーブレイド』が首位に! トップ10に返り咲いた『リングフィット アドベンチャー』にも注目【5/6~5/12】 | ゲーム・エンタメ最新情報のファミ通.com

[Software & Hardware Weekly Sales] “Stellar Blade” ranks first for 2 consecutive weeks! Also pay attention to “Ring Fit Adventure” which has returned to the top 10 [5/6-5/12]

Sales ranking announced by Famitsu. This time we are bringing you a summary of estimated weekly game software and hardware sales from May 6th to May 12th, 2024. Stellar Blade, an action-adventure game created by SHIFT UP a Korean developer known for Nikke and other titles is selling well, with 13,033 units sold this week. The cumulative sales number was 80,164 units and it took the top spot for two weeks in a row.

FOREVER BLUE LUMINOUS an ocean adventure where you can freely explore the ocean has not changed its ranking since last week, maintaining its 3rd place. It also supports online play for up to 30 people and is a title that is expected to continue to sell well in the future.

Following these, among the many titles that regularly rank in the top 10 the one to watch is Ring Fit Adventure which has increased it's sales significantly from last week's 25th place and re-emerged to 4th place.

Even now, more than four and a half years after its release in 2019 it is a work that is still loved by many users with cumulative sales of 3,559,654 units. As the summer approaches the number of people who want to get in shape will increase rapidly so we can expect sales to further increase from here on in line with that demand.

Good hold for Stellar Blade, looks like the evergreens are in full season.

Only a handful of acknowledgement from IB too lol
It was inevitable, so people have just been playing the waiting game for the numbers to finally pile up high enough. Regardless, it's a spectacular achievement! Hopefully Switch 2 will garner the same kind of fervor over there.

I think at this point it just feels like old news since the Japanese Switch shipment data was already well beyond Game Boy by the end of 2023, even if it's just now taking the lead in the Famitsu version of events.

Isn't it something weird like Famitsu doesn't count Switches sold from Nintendo's store and a lot sold from there during lockdown?

The success of the Switch in Japan probably makes the best argument that it's an iteration of Nintendo's handheld console

I thought it was already confirmed Switch passed DS?
This is a confusion with the shipped and sell through numbers, Switch past it for shipments by the end of last year. The DS shipped 32.99m and the Switch shipped 33.34m as of Dec 31st, 2023 and 34.01m as of March 31st, 2024. Famitsu lifetime sell through for the DS is 32.83m and with this weeks sales the Switch has surpassed it with 32.86m.
