Sorry, but I won't be satisfied with just DKCR HD. Not at this point.. it should've been a complementary title long ago, and it's just too depressing to not have anything original on Switch.

You know, I was thinking that if Zelda II was remade with Saturday morning cartoon graphics as a sidescroller, just some high-quality 2D drawings and some action cutscenes where needed, that would be pretty dope. Probably could get away with a little more voice acting from the NPC characters, too

Personal reason against a new Switch only (multiplatform, but only on Switch in terms of Nintendo systems) HD2D game is a thought from back when the Mario & Rabbids sequel launched, and a communication between Nintendo and Ubisoft was leaked/talked about.
Nintendo wondering if the Mario & Rabbids sequel wouldn't be a better fit for the next system.
So i could see SQEX presenting a new Asano HD2D game to Nintendo, them advising it might better launch on Switch 2 at this point.
Though, with how productive Asano and his dev partners are, he might be able to deliver a cross-gen game easily.

Ultimately I have allocated six points to WW/TP HD but I would like to see a reimagining of Zelda 2. Every other Zelda that is available on switch holds up quite well. For a Zelda overload FSA Hagi port with online MP would be amazing.

There's two ways they could go about it; they could just Hagi the Wii version and presumably add normal controls, but they could also do a Luigi's Mansion 2-style remaster of the 3DS port (which already had normal controls, and also like 8 extra levels that weren't in the Wii original)
I read "DKC Returns HD" as a remaster of the 3DS version personally

I feel Prime 4 will be a very atypical release for Nintendo, as they decide to publicly announce a release date to put a deadline on development for the staff. Not the ideal scenario, but it's possible... considering the time (and money poured) they put on this

I'm still wondering if that Bandai Namco project is an original game that includes levels from an older game, though there aren't a lot of possibilities that come to mind outside of the Ridge Racer rumor. It strikes me as a little odd that Nintendo would contract the remnants of Bandai Namco's Smash team to work on a remaster for this long; while Mario Sports Superstars had to be done in tandem with Smash 3DS+Wii U DLC and Ultimate development, this project seems to have begun after Ultimate DLC shipped, and should have had something like two years of dedicated development before the next Smash's development cycle ramped up. I don't know what remaster would justify that; Kid Icarus: Uprising did reasonably well on 3DS but was by no means a charts arsonist, older console titles would need to make a case for why a Hagi port would be insufficient.
If it's a Switch remaster, we ought to see it next month, though I'm not ruling out a Switch 2 game at this point. Ridge Racer would be a welcome sight for Nintendo platforms after a decade of MK8's reign.

Deluxe is only used for Wii U ports where the original game had paid DLC, and it's included as part of the main package here.
Mario Kart 8, NSMBU and Pikmin 3 all had paid DLC, so they're called Deluxe, whereas Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker didn't, so they're not called Deluxe.

(Which, as far as Nintendo is concerned, never fucking happened, but damn, they missed a good opportunity to port Wii games to the Wii U for Americans and Europeans alike.)

There wasn't any sequels, Reginleiv is the only game. Mysteriously didn't get localized, despite the fact it was announced with the temp title "Dynamic Zan".TIL there was a sequel to the Japanese only Zangeki no Reginleiv, and I still haven't gotten to play either
It's basically an Earth Defense Force game but set in Norse mythology. You slaughter jotuns and giants instead of ants and it's every bit as ridiculous as EDF series. Switch got some EDF games (one is coming out this september) but Sandlot yet to reveal their next game. I'm hoping that it's a sequel to Reginleiv.
