I have this idea that could benefit less popular online games on a system level where you could assign which multiplayer online titles you want to alert you if someone has set up a game, mitigating any awkward friend messaging if you're a more introverted gamer. It always pains me to see an interesting looking online game only to know that the multiplayer is completely dead, so this would be a boon for such titles.

I really enjoyed Starlink and playing as the Star Fox team was super fun. I really wish they would have made a spiritual sequel as only a Star Fox game.

They could keep the open world structure of flying planet to planet. Keep the stuff about clearing the planet out of invaders and liberating areas. But I would make it so after you complete a certain percentage of objectives you unlock a traditional on-rail shooter section that leads to a boss fight.

Keep the game design tight so it’s beatable in 10-15 hours, make it so you can go to any planet in any order, and you got yourself and insanely replayable Star Fox game with a bit more meat on its bones.

Paper Zelda

Basically the first Paper Mario structure.

You play as Link in the overworld visiting towns, unveiling secrets and beating dungeons with the help of many party members like: dekus, gorons, zoras, ritos, etc.

Then in the intermissions you play as Princess Zelda as a parallel story like Princess Peach in Paper Mario.

All of that combined with the amazing humor and script of the Paper Mario series. Yes, it will never happen ):
