Go the SNES Mini with Star Fox 2 route and release Earthbound 64.

PS: I know it's not comparable since SF2 was done, while Mother 64 was not even closer to half completed but damn that would be a big deal.

Earthbound, Earthbound Zero and the SNES Square games would be nice.

Also the Pokémon Stadium game, with online multiplayer for the mini games.

Beetle Adventure Racing and both Snowboard Kids please, Nintendo
I always thought it was cool that Wii had C64 virtual console, and I would love if the brought that back as part of NSO. There are so many hidden gems for that system from our friends at the Japan Leisure Company.

They do have some other games in a Star Fox 2 situation... like Sound Factory on SNES, or Dragon Hopper and G-Zero on Virtual Boy. Would be really great to see the former added, and the latter added on the off chance we get a Virtual Boy app.

Smash Bros, Diddy Kong Racing, Perfect Dark, KI Gold and every single N64 arcade racer. Yes, all of them.

For Mega Drive, Comix Zone, Sonic 1, SoR3, OutRun, Road Rash and a bunch of others that will never come because licences (like Hyperstone Heist, Disney games and even Sonic 3).

The Pokemon Stadium games and Hey You Pikachu are all very nostalgic to me so it would be amazing to see any of them added eventually.

I have a lot of nostalgia for the pokemon stadium games

that's probably the only thing they could do with these consoles that i'd seriously consider paying the 50 bucks they are asking for for

Oh that's awesome to hear!! I didn't know G-Zero was completed and I don't really know Sound Factory and Dragon Hopper.
But I'll add to that the Sattelaview games(there's practically a remake of Zelda 1 there and some other major ips with ""online"" features, irrc? Sounds like a perfect fit) and the N64 version of Animal Crossing that only released in Japan.

I would love to see Diddy Kong Racing, Mystical Ninja Goemon, and Bomberman 64, Hero, and The Second Attack, the latter I stupidly sold and it's worth hundreds now.

Yep! I saw that they got someone who used to work at NoA at the Planet Virtual Boy forums, and he confirmed that both G-Zero and Dragon Hopper underwent a final lot check, meaning both were completed. Dragon Hopper was a sort of top down action adventure game from Intelligent Systems. Sound Factory (the final name was actually Sound Fantasy, I had forgotten) was a music game that used the SNES mouse, created by the artist who would later make Electroplankton.

Satellaview games would be amazing! Some might be tricky due to SoundLink compatibility, but I'd love to see them try it. There's a lot of neat stuff on it... from more F-Zero, to a third Famicom Detective Club game where you play as Ayumi!

I just remembered something I'd love to see; F-Zero X Expansion Kit content! It had been discovered that US region N64DDs had been used for testing pruposes, and I definitely remember someone mentioning that an English version of the Expansion Kit was made... would be great to finally give everyone the full F-Zero X experience! Sadly I don't think Nintendo would do something THAT great.

Mega Man 64, that game would actually look really clean upscaled to 1080p, not every game translates that well to higher resolutions but the Legends series has such a timeless and charming visual style.

That's really amazing!!! Releasing the Sattelaview F-Zero alone would be a big deal to me. Now that I discovered that IS made a top down action adventurer I REALLY NEED IT 😭😭😭😭😭. Damn would be a waste to let all of it die :(
I'm sadly not that hopeful they will do any of that but I sure dream of it!! Gonna go search more of Dragon Hopper 😍

If they can somehow pull off getting WWF wrestling games on there they will have my money hands down. Other than that the service offers nothing to me and I will be waiting for whenever GameCube games arrive.

Not a game, but I really miss the buy 2, get 1 free promotions they did during the 3DS and Wii U eras. I get why they had them back then and why they don’t need them now, but I’d love to see something like that return as part of the NSO Expansion Pack. Kinda like how Europe still has the 2 for €99 vouchers with the vanilla NSO sub. “Bought two first party titles on the eShop in the last year? Here’s a title from our back catalog (pick one out of 5-6 different games, could be older stuff that doesn’t really sell anymore like ARMS or Sushi Striker) for free.”

It’s never gonna happen, haha, but hey… who knows?

This is a big one, honestly! Hope we get them sooner rather than later. There's just such a huge library of great games, from both first and third parties.

Game Boy NSO also has a lot of potential to have unreleased games put on the service... like Lunar Chase, the localized version of X!

Mario Party 3: for so long, Mario Party 2 was the only Mario Party for the Nintendo 64 that was rereleased, which means that not many people got to check out the other Mario Party for the system. In my opinion, it is the better game in terms of how deeply strategic you can play this game, between the variety of items and the ability to manipulate your outcomes between dead ends and Action Time. There's also Duel mode, which has a different dynamic due to having partners and having the objective to defeat the other player.

Perhaps one of the SNES Bomberman games should be added, since it has 4-player functionality and I heard that it's possible to have 4-player games (hopefully in a future patch, which will also affect Puyo Puyo 2).

Thank you for reading.

No joke I think I’m the first wave they have like almost every game I ever grew up with on the N64 haha. So there isn’t much else aside from Smash Bros that I could want.

"Mmm... Can't beat the smell of fresh soil."
Quintet trilogy: Soulblazer, Illusion of Time, Terranigma. (Technically there is a fourth loosely connected game on the PS1 whose name escapes me right now.) All SNES.

I don't have too many fond memories of N64 sans Mario and Zelda so hoping to find some gems among what has already been announced. Castlevania 64 would be cool.

I'm pretty sure they could add Snowboard Kids 1 and 2 to the service without asking Atlus and Atlus wouldn't even remember they own that IP. Come on Nintendo.

FYI they already put SMT on the service so it’s super likely.

That and outside of Winback we officially don’t know any third parties that are coming post launch, the Japan website treats Banjo as it originally was a first party title complete with Nintendo as publisher. We know they’ll come, just that Nintendo didn’t bother to do advertising licensing

My most wanted game would be Beetle Adventure Racing for the N64, but unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised if there's licensing issues over the Beetle name with VW that would prevent that from happening.

Other than that, I think 1080 Snowboarding and Wave Race would be great to have on there.

Aside from Nintendo/Sega first party games. If they can make variosu deals with third party publishers:

  • Capcom: N64 (RE2, Megaman Legends) and Genesis (Megaman Willy Wars, Strider, GnG) titles
  • Konami: N64 Goemon, Hybrid Heaven and Castlevania games
  • Ubisoft: Rayman 2 if they are not interested in doing a remake
  • Rare: N64 catalogue except licence games like Goldeneye and that Mickey racing game.
  • Bandai-Namco: Ridge Racer 64
  • Mischief Makers (is its own by Enix?)
  • Atlus: N64 Snowboard Kids 1/2

To keep myself from listing hundreds (thousands?) of games I'll do some top tens based around a few realistic limitations:

-only games not available by other means on the system (so long as they're well done)
-no outside-of-gaming licenses (TMNT, Batman, Ducktales, etc)
-only games from developers and publishers already working with NSO
-only platforms already confirmed (as much as I want PCE, GB and MSX)

Outside some of the already announced games, these are my most wanted -

  • Mario Party 1, 2 and 3
  • Super smash bros.
  • Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2
  • Diddy Kong Racing

For SNES, games which are "locked" in separate collections: Castlevania, Contra, SF2, etc.
Strategy and RPG games from Square/Enix/Quintet and publishers I cannot remember: FF2/3 (US titles), Crono Trigger, Front Mission, Super Mario RPG, etc. Oh, Terranigma, I have the SNES cartridge, but never played it. NSO would be far more convienient.
Maybe Lufia? Sim City.

For N64, basically the whole Rare output. I wanted to add Mission Impossible, but the license might be... mission impossible. Also games from N64's later life cycle.

For the Megadrive I guess I don't know what to expect. I'll just try whatever comes. Same for Saturn and Turbografx/PC Engine, if they ever show up.

GBA - basically all I missed.
GB/GBC - err... nothing.

Oh hell yeah!! ISS98 is a little better and still plays my favourite game of soccer on any machine. From Pele Soccer on the 2600 to Pro Evo and Fifa, its just the most fun I've ever had... and we used do some marathon Pro Evo sessions till all hours of the morning!
Still, I don't think anything beats ISS98

Honestly I’d be happy if the just add Super Mario RPG, Earthbound, and Final Fantasy VI. But they should also add more obscure N64 titles like Body Harvest.
