Honestly looks good. Dig the villains and it feels like they’re not using the same 8-10 shooting locations as always.

Boonboomger 3rd Lap first look with the return of ToQger and Mad Rex, Champion Form and Carrier Vehicle, sneaky look at Boonboomger Robo Champion

I'm enjoying Boonboomger. It's not as insane as Donbrothers or Zenkaiger, nor as high stakes as King Ohger but it's good fun, "back to basics" Sentai with a likeable cast. Rica Matsumoto is killing it in her role :D
Yeah agree - it's very enjoyable, fun, wholesome while still having some interesting things going on - just halfway through now, so it seems like things will start escalating and the new arc seems to have some interesting stuff going on - so yeah - worth a look, but it's similar to Ultraman Arc, in so far as being a solid, fun, back to basic, smile on your face sentai for kids that isn't trying to subvert anything.

Has Hasbro killed Power Rangers?
I don't think so no, but it will just take some time to come back - At worst, it will the rights will revert to Toei and we may get dubbed/subbed Sentai called Power Rangers in the West, but no, i think in the next few years we will see some kind of reboot.

Kamen Rider Build 11
Finally getting back to this. Cross-Z finally appears(give me a Figurerise kit Bandai!), and it’s pretty obvious we’re hurtling towards a big status quo change. Banjou is still the best. Interesting to see the lead rider basically out of commission so long
I LOVE Build... shakes pill bottles like maracas furiously

Ultraman Arc 4-6

Fun batch of episodes! 6 in particular was a really good one that turned out more emotional than I expected. Arc turning one of his barriers into a GIANT SPINNING BLADE OF DEATH in this one also got me thinking about how he's been using his barriers in all kinds of different ways than what I'm used to from other Ultras throughout the series so far; that's a really cool element of Arc's powers that helps him stand out all the more.

Livyjira might also be my favourite of Arc's new kaiju to date, really like its design and how the underwater battle between it and Arc played out in episode 5.

Well, that's Gotchard wrapped up. Overall feels like a show with a messy and inconsistent plot but fun vibes and a likable cast. The last episode felt cheap in general, production for Gotchard overall comes off as messy. But it was a serviceable weekly watch if nothing remarkable.

Onto Gavv.

i haven't watched it yet, but yeah, vibes seem to be that it was fine but nothing special - maybe hard coming off of Geats being more dramatic etc... to have a lighter season - Gavv looks interesting/weird at the very least so will be interesting to see how it turns out

Gavv feels a bit more ambitious as it’s being given a longer production tail than usual since it’s being simulcast in China. The trailer showed some locations that are more out of the ordinary than the usual couple dozen we always see in Rider.

yeah seems that way and just the story idea/concept behind it seems pretty ambitious/weird/interesting so yeah... will definitely watch it this weekend

Dramatic Toku week with the new Kamen Rider series Gavv starting - it was fun, they built up some interesting ideas and mysteries going forward, so will see where it goes, and over on Boomboomger some dramatic reveals and change in the status quo as we start the third lap

the Kamen Rider W Anime/Manga sequel "Fuuto PI" is getting a film installment on November 8th.
still surprised the original series hasn't been officially localized yet, considering the anime was.

Very happy to see Fuuto PI continue, loved the anime!

It is weird that Toei still hasnt bothered with putting out more than the first three episodes of W with subs. Also it's sad that you can't even find scans of the Manga, except for a couple of early chapters.

Hurricanger & Shinkenger OP singer Hideaki Takatori and has band ZETKI has been getting original singers of Sentai/Rider themes on his YouTube channel for performances of their themes with his band over the last couple years - some really great performances on there - including recently Shinichi Ishihara who popped in to perform his GoGoV theme song

Well this should be fun, got my grandma to agree to try a Toku show with me when we're together thanksgiving week. Need to double check if my folks have a BR player tho(I know they have dvd but that reduces my choices on what I actually own. Actually all I got on dvd is super Sentai Fiveman and Ultraman Max). From what I own I'm leaning Gavan, Juspion or Kuuga. Tho I know my folks have a tv with Tubi so that opens up some options if people want to suggest anything. She's open to foreign stuff and subtitles(in fact she's been on a South Korean binge that's made her want to try kimchi XD). She also really loves whodunnits and mysteries(but not if they're half baked) so I don't know if that helps narrow it down much.

That's sweet, reminds me of watching toku with my Mum before she passed away last year :)
Kuuga seems like a good choice if she likes mysteries etc... and is the closest probably to J/K Dramas

Gavv continues to be excellent. Already going into some dark territory 4 episodes in, and this episode actually had mooks pose a threat to the Rider which almost never happens.

I thought I read it was a wolf theme? Guess we’ll see soon.
So far the first verifiable leak from color is that it's mixed animal team, with Red being wolf, Blue being lion (female), Yellow being T-rex, then later joined by Black pegasus (female) and Green hawk. They use both ring and sword to transform. Later leaks state the Sentai name is Inochi Sentai Gozyuger.

Ultraman Arc 7-8

A highly emotional episode being followed by ULTRAMAN VS. CRYPTO complete with Looney Tunes-esque slapstick hijinx may be a perfect encapsulation of the Ultraman experience.

Been enoying Ultraman Gaia - some really great miniature work and starting to get into the conflict between the two Ultramen, love Agul's theme

Bandai are releasing a new DX Robo Universe line of mecha similar to the previous western "Zord Builder" line where they are all interchangeable so parts from different mecha are compatible with each other/same size - aimed as a more affordable line, they are $50 USD each. Along with the Boonboomger mecha which are compatible they are also releasing TOQ-Oh from ToQger, Engine-Oh from Go-Onger (both featured in Boonboomger this season) and Gokai-Oh from Gokaiger a little later on
