That would be ace. I've just tried the Hori d-pad joycon on the new system and it is super wobbly. It's wobbly in my v1 but it's more pronounced and noticeable now that the rails on the OLED feel like they are holding onto regular joycon really tightly.

I play with one of those clips that lets me play handheld with pro controller, and if I’m not using that I play tabletop with pro controller

My initial thoughts are that I'm not sure about the "vibrant" colours and might actually prefer the standard! But I'm the kind of person that switches (no pun intended) these kinds of options off on their other devices. My most recent smartphone is a Samsung M31 and it's an AMOLED. I turned the poppy colours off straight away. My partner did the same with her Pixel 3a. We both agreed that the menus at least look better in standard. The red logo of the Switch Online was almost eye searing.

I didn't have too much trouble with the game card slot but do think the older design made more sense. And I'm being super careful not tear the dust cover mesh at the bottom by opening the stand using the cutout (every Youtuber I've watched is opening it near the mesh and it's giving me anxiety).

Speakers do sound better to my ears. Very clean and clear even at the maximum volume.

Stand seems great. I do hope if it ever did pop off or was accidentally broken off it's easy to replace.

It felt a little snug going into my old dock but I was conscious of not having a tempered glass protector on it.

I am waiting for proper stress tests before deciding whether I need one for this. I wanna see someone take a knife and a lighter to it! And also dock and undock 100s of times.

Some have mentioned a quicker eShop but seems as sluggish as ever to me.

The joycons feels so darn fresh but oh my lord are they difficult to remove once on. Even my old set are much more difficult to remove. I'm using to being able to slide them on and off with ease. Very little flex indeed.

It's late here now so I'm just leaving stuff to download overnight. Haven't actually tested any games yet but my old screenshots look *chef's kiss*.

I have been holding off on Limbo. And text based games like Choices That Matter that are almost wholly black.

I've got too large a backlog to get Dread, but plenty of Metroidvanias to scratch that itch.

I mean in regards to the build quality / screen quality and the overall unit excluding joycon. Those still need work.

Lol so my router being dual band was the issue (same thing I hit with Mario Kart Live, where I have to sync my Kart and Console down in the lobby of my building in order for it to work...)

Luckily I was able to get around it by using a personal hotspot, but I took down my own router for a bit in the process while trying to disable one band and accidentally shutting both off at the same time. Without an ethernet port on my laptop to reconnect and enable wi-fi I had to go through a hard reset process. Ohhhh the things you put me through, Nintendo. And to think this transfer process isn't even gonna do much of anything at all lol.

There is a transfer process that brings them over automatically yeah, connects the switches over local wireless, but it’s not necessary

Would highly recommend the Hori Split Pad Pro (have yet to try it with the OLED- hope it fits OK) or custom joycons.

Managed to get an OLED model today! Had given up after missing out on stock popping up Best Buy and Amazon, but then just decided to poke around some more and found that multiple Target stores in my area had them listed. Got the last white OLED model at one about 30 minutes away. Couldn't believe how easy that ended up being.

Was glad to finally cancel the still-unshipped Walmart pre-order I had that was set to go to my previous address.

I haven't had the chance to play much, but man Mario Kart and Splatoon look really nice on it.

As for now I'm redownloading way too many things, I hope next time we won't have to do such a thing with a system transfer. As I won't lie that brought down my hype a bit for the day. However everything looks and feels so much better. Super nice to not have a switch that burns my hands or sounds like a jet engine anymore.

Metroid looks AMAZING on this thing. Also played Doom 3 and wow! The inky shadows were insane.

I wound up turning off the Vibrant color mode tho, I think it pushed things too far and prefer the more accurate colors of the Standard option.

My OLED arrives tomorrow, and my holiday was delayed due to illness, so I'll be able to transfer everything over and tomorrow and have time to finish Dread in the next couple of days.

Then I'll immediately begin a 100% portable playthrough of Dread on holiday. Exciting.

I loved it too. In my head it was a sort of silly leaderboard... Seeing if whatever it is I'm curre y playing is going to topple X or Y. It also surprised me how many hours I'd put into some of the cheapest games I've bought... Into the Breach, Wargroove, heck even Kotadama at 69 British pence.

May I recommend this? I got it for my v.2 Switch and it works great IMO. Comes with two d-pad types. I use the round Sega Saturn style one.

My problem with the white version is the dock. For me it only looks good with the white Joy Con. Still indifferent how I want my Swoled. The Mario Odyssey Joy Con are already on my V1.

Or just the grey Joy Con for the stealth look?

The OLED tracking finally updated, instead of being sent to NY and then to San Juan, PR for final sorting to my local USPS office... it got send to DeathSantis' state. Currently in Orlando getting sorted at a UPS Mail Innovations facility.

Decided to get the switch OLED from amazon.uk. Surprisingly, it will be here next Thursday! Paid about 430 USD for it, thank god for global shipping. Also, no plug/voltage/region locking restrictions. Nice!

The hardware itself is really nice-- love the new dock and new kickstand and new buttons. Wish they had upgraded the menu resolution tho-- text on the home menu looks blurry.

I knew something would be a pain, so I need your help nerds. I've transferred all of my screenshots from my launch switch onto my pc, as I had to format the micro sd card. Now I'm trying to get my screenshots from my PC onto my new OLED model. It doesn't seem to be working. Anyone had any luck with this?
