The Semi-Annual Pants-to-Shorts/Shorts-to-Pants transition: Weird for anyone else? Or just me?

I just put a pair of jeans of for the first time in ohhh let’s say 6 ish months. It feels so weird! Just about as weird as wearing shorts for the first time when it warms up. Anyone else get what I mean? My legs… they feel so trapped.

Also: is it just me or is it a one-way switch? As soon as the pants are out, the shorts go away for 6ish months, and vice versa.

The bigger problem I have is I'll dress without actually checking the weather and end up walking outside in shorts and a t-shirt and suddenly realizing I'm underdressed for the temperature.

I have two pairs of jeans, and it's so rare that I wear jeans that I really only have one pair that I wear, wash, and then put away until the next time.
I have about 8 pairs of shorts.

I live in Ohio. Every day is shorts weather if you don't actually go out into said weather.
