Discussion The history of the 2D Metroid series

Even tho I'd recommend Samus Returns to most people, The Return of Samus on GB has such a unique atmosphere. There's nothing else quite like it on GB.

...But I did skip the Dread part at the end, tho. No need to see anymore of it. Game is out tomorrow.
 
The fact that Nintendo REALLY pushes Metroid Dread fills me with confidence for a future for the series.

It wasn't anything new. If you saw the announcement trailer I think you saw everything they showed here too.

Either way, can't wait for tomorrow. This was a great preparation and nicely crafted.
 
That was a hell of a video.

Never really got into Metroid until a few years ago but I am jazzed up for Dread

I see why they did it but it’s weird how ZM and SR are left out of the marketing, they may be retelling stories but they are extremely important entries in the franchise and basically new games! They aren’t on the holographic cards in the SE either

That video was great, and the transition between Metroid 2 and Super Metroid with the item acquisition themes was brilliant. Now I kinda want to spend the rest of the night listening to the Super Metroid OST.
