Screw you! Lol. You legit made me go OH GOD NO! I thought it was a leak at first. I liked this map alot.Hi everyone I'm in charge of stage design for Splatoon 3 and looking for input, how do you like this rework of Manta Maria?
Don't be silly. If it was real, they'd also have scrapped the walkway through the middle.Screw you! Lol. You legit made me go OH GOD NO! I thought it was a leak at first. I liked this map alot.
No you have to grind from S+0 to S+10 by the end of the season in order to qualify for X in the next season. So is there no reason to play Anarchy series if you dont care about the rank system once X rank is out?

Now im confused. The Twitter said you only have to be S+ 0.
You get demoted at the end of every season. If you are below S+10, you get put back to S. If you are S+10 or above, you get put at S+0
isn't x rank permanent? iirc in 2 you just had to hit s+ onceWhat is the logistic of this, you'll need to take care of your s+ and x rank each season
Or you can transform your S+ in X by participating and get back to it if you get the boot ...

You had to break past S+9, and after each month if your X Power was below 2000 you would be sent back to S+9 (1 loss below 1900 X Power at any time also tossed you out)isn't x rank permanent? iirc in 2 you just had to hit s+ once
Pretty sure it wasnt. i havn't played Splatoon 2 since the Order vs Chaos splatfest, but I specifically remember uploading a video and pointing out that I was not playing a X rank tower control match because I hadn't played in awhile and lost the X rank for that mode.
That's not quite how X rank worked in 2.
Essentially you were in X rank forever unless you got (1) curbstomped hard, and your average power level dropped somewhere below something around1900, and you kept losing or (2) your power level at the end of a month was low in which case you got demoted too.
Functionally it was permanent though, unless you shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Edit;Pillfencer already explained all this, whoops. One day I'll learn to read.
They technically did...a whooping TEN points increase! It's unacceptable that Tenta Missiles have gone this far without a nerf.

I'd rather have seen Lost Outpost or Ark Polaris return, but more maps for SR is definitely appreciated
On the other hand, throwing eggs up a level saves time going up and down the map. The fun outweighs the possible problems though, riding the rails is just too much fun, especially on high tide when everything is flooded by salmons. While Ruins of Ark Polaris would have been most suitable to the game given the storymode theme to the point where I'm almost surprised it wasn't in the base game, and it's my favourite map, at the same time, I'd dread to think how it would go actually being played with the effect the ability to throw eggs has had on the collective brainpower of the splatoon userbase.
There would be practically no chance people actually sit at the basket and allow the enemies that approach to get within a reasonable distance of the basket and it would be failures as far as the eye can see because you just can't get people to learn.

This is often the problem. Randoms just throw eggs a little closer and then go back to shooting infinitely spawning mobs at the shore, and then the flying things just come in and take the eggs. The actual design of Ark Polaris means that tossing them actually would save minimal time. You'd think it would save time but it would be hugely worse than having just let the salmonids get nearer the basket to begin with, which is a problem we already have in game.
Not requiring the players to routinely return to the basket to subtly remind them to progress towards the actual goal feels like a mistake that would have been hard to predict, at least.
Facing Worlds for Splatoon 3 when?People wishing for old maps and hating the new ones gives me big Unreal Tournament 2003 vibes
I like all the maps and play both Salmon Run and PVP. Get on my level. You can tell a lot about a Splatoon player by how they feel about the maps.
Do they hate the new maps and want the old maps from the previous games? They play PvP.
Do they hate the old maps and only want to play on the new ones? They play Salmon Run.
Hopefully Nintendo cancels the Salmon Run stage they just announced for season 2...?Hopefully we get at least 1 new Salmon Run stage too with season 2...?
Lost OutpostWhat was that Salmon Run map that had alot of walls in S2 like you were in a building almost. I thought that map was cool.
I think there needs to be a drastic global measure against special spam. We've seen it countless times, the meta just keeps gravitating towards spamming the strongest specials available right now. This is a screenshot of Area Cup (high level JP tournament).
My suggestion would be to make it so that every time you use a special, the next one becomes 5p more expensive. Makes it so your average 4 specials a game person isn't affected too much but those 16 missiles in 5 minutes players will struggle to get their later ones. Also forces you to be a little more strategic about using specials.
Card Shark supremacy. It's only happened once but having four people send the losing team to the shadow realm is the true victory.I wasn't a believer in the dab in the beginning but now there is no greater feeling in Splatoon than winning a decisive match and celebrating with 4 consecutive dabs
Marooner's Bay is back.
It's a weird one to play with for sure. The kit is really exciting if you ask me, but the weapon itself I can imagine takes a lot of time to get used to.goo tuber is my second most used weapon after squiffer by turf and I still haven't ever gotten it to fresh
it's definitely my worst charger
