So I've noticed that Scott's content has been getting bloated for a while, but check out his channel page: every generic topic like 2D games or mobile ports to console has been stretched to right around 21 minutes, the length of a half hour program. This has been in the works for a while.

Never said anything that I know of, he only quietly removed him many weeks after the fact when it was pointed out multiple times.

I didn't mind him before all the controversy. I need to find more gaming YouTube with a more Nintendo focus that just isn't the nes/snes.

I'm not a huge fan of the BIG ASS VIDEO format. Although 20 minutes isn't long, it's probably longer than Scott's jokes remain funny. It's like they can't resist the bloat.

Scott's biggest problem recently is that his information is increasingly disorganized and repetitive. He often paraphrases concepts he previously introduced, which now seems as though it may be deliberate.

I thought he was rather refreshing in this early days, but he went from discussing his views with a few light hearted gags interspersed to full on gag show, and I'm not the biggest fan of his comedy. It's certianly not enough to carry a full episode and a bit of a turn off to be quite frank. The long skits with his friends are very eeeehhhhhhh.

Saying that, pretty impressive to see him get this far, especially in such a crowded field that is videogame YouTube.

But, he had never heard of Twinbee, which is inexcusable.

I've watched a few videos of this guy and he's like the vanilla flavored ice cream or store brand generic cereal of gaming YouTube videos. He doesn't really do anything super out of the ordinary or interesting or stand out, he just seems like a cleaned up version of an amalgamation of AVGN, old-school JonTron (yes he sucks but I was very familiar with his content prior to him being outed as a white nationalist), ProJared, and other YouTubers of that ilk without the problematic or vulgar shit.

Nope, he kept silent. I unfollowed him as soon as I saw he just didn't seem to care or comment. I have no problem distancing myself from problematic content creators, there are plenty of other people who deserve the views.

Honestly I just tend to ignore Scott's videos. He's like the Jay Leno of video game topic videos and since I'm a JRPG guy, I just don't find his content interesting.

I think what Scott does well is his comedic timing and editing are some of the best I've seen on youtube. Like just comparing to the avgn when James destroys something he makes the destruction a spectacle of the show, Scott will make a joke about something not making him too upset, cut to a shot of him going sweating and smashing a 3ds, then cut right back to his review like it didn't happen. I dunno but it gets me every time.

There still hasn't been any further details about the distribution, but the more complete announcement is pretty cool to see. I think the aversion to specific games or platforms in the intro is somewhat interesting; obviously being more generic will apply to more episodes, but it seems consistent enough to suggest that they are avoiding too much brand-oriented content in general. I have seen it suggested that his recent general topic videos were designed with the new format in mind, and the de-emphasis of specific products could be part of that.

The two most common guesses of platform seem to be the impending revival of G4 or Adult Swim.
