I definitely see them keeping MS close, possibly as a dedicated Metroid studioI might be crazy and making this up, but does anyone else remember around E3 someone saying that Mercury Steam was already finished with Dread and moving onto their next project? It may have even but Emily, but I'm not 100% sure. Nonetheless, I wonder if it is a pre-existing property they are working on now, or even possibly another Nintendo property. Considering how well Samus Returns and Dread have turned out, I could see MS being one of the studios Nintendo wants to keep close (like Next Level pre-acquisition).
Can anybody post the Metroid image? I feel like I need to send it to everybody I know twice a day for the next six months because, you know
METROID

I hope if Nintendo doesn't offer the Atomic Purple/Arctic Blue/Jungle Green/etc. colours on the NSO shop soon, someone steps up to offer custom shells for the wireless controllers. The controllers being exclusive to NSO members should ease it. So far I’ve had zero issues with any of the controllers as long as you order it within the first day for the first round and they came back in stock pretty often. I think we should be good!

Do someone think we can have a somehow similar case to Bayonetta where Nintendo would team up with Mercury Steam (with the permission of Konami) to make Castlevania Lords of Shadow 3 a thing ?I definitely see them keeping MS close, possibly as a dedicated Metroid studio
I don't remember this exact rumor, but it's worth mentioning that MercurySteam is definitely working on a new project independent of Nintendo. Their latest project will be published by 505 Games.I might be crazy and making this up, but does anyone else remember around E3 someone saying that Mercury Steam was already finished with Dread and moving onto their next project? Yeah, neither my SE nor the OLED preorder have had a change in terms of status so far.I was hoping my SE would be shipped today, so I'd have a chance to get it a day early, but it wasn't meant to be.
Nah, I don’t see that as being something they think they need. Bayonetta filled the character action slot of Nintendo’s lineup. I don’t know what LOS3 would benefitDo someone think we can have a somehow similar case to Bayonetta where Nintendo would team up with Mercury Steam (with the permission of Konami) to make Castlevania Lords of Shadow 3 a thing ?

If it was called Ubisoft Dread it would've gotten a 60 on MC
My gamestop order shipped too. Despite them estimating October 10th for a while, tracking now estimates I'll get my CE on the 8thTarget pre-order shipped! Expected delivery October 8th.
In the words of All Michaels, "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!"
Lol count me among them, though to be fair, Kat Bailey did the preview and not the review.smh my head and some of yall were shit talking IGN expecting them to give dred a low score
I tried posting this the other day but it didn't work
Amazon as well? I don't think I've ever been lucky enough to get an early delivery, but I really had my fingers crossed.Yeah, neither my SE nor the OLED preorder have had a change in terms of status so far.
Well, I wield the power of animu, my friend!I tried posting this the other day but it didn't work
Here in Canada it’s pretty fast. They ship out of Vancouver so if you’re on the east coast it’ll take a few days but I have never waited longer than a week.Question for anyone that has bought the NES or SNES controllers from Nintendo. How fast is their shipping? I know they haven't announced details yet but I'm hoping that if I buy the controller in October I won't get it in December.
You clearly weren’t there for the SNES controller launch. They sold out immediately and they didn’t restock for weeks/months. And when they did it sold out immediately again. The controllers being exclusive to NSO members should ease it. So far I’ve had zero issues with any of the controllers as long as you order it within the first day for the first round and they came back in stock pretty often. I think we should be good!
Yeah I'm just not familiar with the image options here or on era. I have it saved in my files, wish I could simply post it from thereWell, I wield the power of animu, my friend!
Si. Never had an early delivery from them, ahaha. Never stop hoping for it, tho!Amazon as well? I don't think I've ever been lucky enough to get an early delivery, but I really had my fingers crossed.
An exclusive Castlevania game and the whole Lord of Shadow series going forward.Nah, I don’t see that as being something they think they need. Bayonetta filled the character action slot of Nintendo’s lineup. I don’t know what LOS3 would benefit
No, I think keeping the Metroid partnership going will be the priority. Nintendo have invested a lot in the last few years in putting Metroid back on the map and Dread is hopefully going to be a return to prominence. I don't see them wanting to involve Mercury Steam in any other project. Better to keep Metroid secure in its new home.Do someone think we can have a somehow similar case to Bayonetta where Nintendo would team up with Mercury Steam (with the permission of Konami) to make Castlevania Lords of Shadow 3 a thing ?
I got them first day after announcement lol I had no issue. Added to cart, checked out, boom. Here in Canada it’s pretty fast. They ship out of Vancouver so if you’re on the east coast it’ll take a few days but I have never waited longer than a week.

I can see the subliminal message you evil...Don't mind me, just saying hi to all the new Famiboarders

Man, next year's lineup is going to be so great. I just hate that all of this software (especially ones that really need it like Pokemon Arceus) will miss out on having Pro versions at launch (or ever)
Stuff like Xenoblade 3, Bayonetta 3, Splatoon 3, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, and other big games would be amazingly exciting when factoring in a huge graphical & framework boost with DLSS. The fact that Dane is going to release later, maybe even WAY later than all of these games is, not gonna lie, pretty disappointing.
Like imagine Xenoblade 3's big reveal with the much bigger budget, development time, enhanced engine being shown on what could have been the Pro. That would have been legendary and could have cemented Monolith Soft as one of Nintendo's premiere technical top dogs. I want them to break that rep of being the "really low res" guys. The games ignoring the resolution are super impressive but either budget, time, or hardware held them back. Thankfully XBC3 will seemingly rectify the former two. The "more models than ever" part of the rumor will be interesting because I feel like they could have placed their tech into more important things first like LOD, draw distance, better lighting, resolution, etc. but I'll reserve judgment until the reveal. I'm still super excited though.
The software is a big part of why I think Dane will either never hit market or will somehow be part of next year's push (eg a September launch with Zelda, followed by Mario, followed by the Prime 1 remaster, followed by Xenoblade in short succession). We have reason to believe that next year is a console launching one from Nintendo in terms of software, and that won't be feasible again for another 3 to 4 years, if ever. That is all setting aside the possibility that Dane is a complete break from the Switch for technical reasons.Hey y'all, I posted this in the hardware thread but I wanted to quote here just to see how you guys feel and what you think about this as well:
$52.43? Look at you, you thrifty shopper you!YALL.

I wish I could take credit for that. I bought it at full price like a good little Nintendo fan but then after it went out of stock a bunch of scammers flooded Walmart.com with low-priced listings of their own and I think it triggered Walmart's pricematch guarantee.$52.43? Look at you, you thrifty shopper you!
Don't get me wrong - I'd love to see that kind of proactive approach from Nintendo more often! But with this particular developer, and this particular partnership, I think retaining the Metroid partnership is the most important thing for Nintendo. I'm not sure if Mercury Steam would be big enough to whatever their game with 505 is and also do two contracted projects with Nintendo. And I don't think Nintendo would prioritise Castlevania over Metroid.Fair enough.
My Walmart and Gamestop SEs both shipped (one for me, one for my good buddy). So excited.YALL.

Target changed Metroid Dread's delivery date from Thursday October 14th to this Friday!

Do y’all think it’s too late for the amiibo? Even in store?
I keep thinking of going to my local game store (not GameStop) and switching to Physical. Is file size already out there?
Dude I would be exceedingly heartbroken. Glad you're holding up well.I forgot I had the SE on pre-order but when I checked my order completely disappeared . I'm not too heartbroken since I should save my money for else where but it is a weird mystery.
