News Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind announced, new beat 'em up game from Digital Eclipse

Day 1 for sure. I love the mode 7 gameplay that they added. really works well the my nostalgia

My fatigue with MMPR aside, this game looks good and I played those old beat 'em up games a ton as a kid. Will keep an eye on this.

In the rollercoaster section at 37-ish seconds, there are 6 cars, with the 6th being an empty green one. (And the front of the green and pink ones again later from a different perspective.)

Granted, they could have just needed an even number, and picking green could just be a coincidence.

No, Power Rangers is kept as its own thing in Japan. It'll probably see a release there but without much fanfare. PR in general is niche in Japan and more of a curiosity there. It did lead to this though:

 
That's awesome but where is the first game from Hasbro Retro Arcade, GI Joe Wrath of Cobra? Supposed to be coming soon.

Hasbro launched this line specifically for their own brands. Simpsons obviously is not happening because of EA but X-Men should be possible. Hasbro has the Marvel license. Specifically the X-Men 97 license, they already have released some pretty nice figures.

But I expect Dungeons & Dragons to be the next, especially now a sequel movie is on the way.

I watch this at least once a week and I love every second of it, just hearing the red ranger yell shut up gets me every time. I have been wanting some gifs of these scenes but I don’t know how to do it, it’s perfect material.

I played Power Rangers so much on my SNES. Those were the days...

Too bad I've lost my love for classic beat 'em ups as I got old. Otherwise, I'd be salivating over this.

The original Mighty Morphin games got released in Japan so I don’t see why this wouldn’t. Keep in mind Mighty Morphin (not sure about other seasons) did get a Japanese dub:


 
Damn, my brother and I spent countless hours playing and replaying the Power Rangers beat em up on SNES. I need to show him this. I'm giddy, I want this now!

Kinda true lol, I wish the game had done a mishmash of a bunch of Power Rangers shows instead. But hey we could maybe get a sequel that tackles the other eras (like Zeo!).

It’s worse than that tbh. Gen 1 Pokemon were at least great games. MMPR is nearly unwatchable today outside of nostalgia if we are being honest. I blame Hasbro for this one.

I'd be down for DLC side stories that feature different seasons, Zeo, Lost Galaxy, Time Force, Wild Force, and Ninja Storm are some of my favorite seasons and would love to see them brought in.

Edit: Heck if they could have a DLC in the vein of Forever Red but it jumps through different seasons or brings in various rangers to help battle a dimension hopping or time traveling monster would be HYPE!!

Idk, the green ranger entering the megazoid was probably top ten best moment in television history.
 
I'm looking at this and I'm wondering why back in the late 80s or early 90s the Super Sentai IP holders didn't do an arcade beat em up similar to this. Or Kamen Rider.

There seems to be season 3 material. One of the vehicle section has Crabby Cabbie as the boss monster. Another shots had the Rangers fighting Tengas, Season 3's original grunts.

Oh yeah, the scenes went by so fast I didn't catch them.

I wonder then if the ninja costumes will be treated like unlockable costume skins.
