No, since MC has a weighting system of some sort which means certain outlets have more impact than othersWhat if some random no name reviewer comes out and gives it a 5 out of 10 would that stop it even if edge gives it a 9?
They would a) have to be on Metacritic and b) have to be weighted enough to counteract not just the difference in their score and EDGE's, but also the difference in their weighting on MC and EDGE's (EDGE is the second most heavily weighted outlet on MC)What if some random no name reviewer comes out and gives it a 5 out of 10 would that stop it even if edge gives it a 9?
Which is the most heavily weighted? Where can I see this list? They would a) have to be on Metacritic and b) have to be weighted enough to counteract not just the difference in their score and EDGE's, but also the difference in their weighting on MC and EDGE's (EDGE is the second most heavily weighted outlet on MC)
IGN.Which is the most heavily weighted? Where can I see this list?
I’m saying one that is on metacriticNo, since MC has a weighting system of some sort which means certain outlets have more impact than others
A real no-name outlet giving it a 5 might not even get on MC.
Yeah, I guess it's good we have Opencritic for unweighted aggregatesThat all just seems so… wrong. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. No outlet should be weighed more than another :/
I could see it if a reviewer has a much longer history with reviewing games, like one site has a lot of experience and has reviewed 500 games while a new site that has just recently opened has only reviewed 10 games for exampleThat all just seems so… wrong. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. No outlet should be weighed more than another :/
I believe this is the leak but it's from several years ago.IGN.
There was a Metacritic leak some years ago, I'll try and find it again, it was pretty high profile at the time
Yup, thank you! I was only getting GameFAQs stuff.I believe this is the leak but it's from several years ago.
Eh, it's out of fun for me, not genuine concern. This thread has been quite the ride.Better to not obsess about Edge.
As a companion piece to the review, Ben Moore talks about Dread for more than half an hour on his Frame Trap podcast with guests and fellow members of the Easy Allies review crew Bradley Ellis and Michael Huber:
top 5 switch games of the year on meta:With that Dread's 89 is stronger than Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury's.

They don't do .5.Edge will give it an 8.5 just to fuck with us
They don’t do half points..Edge will give it an 8.5 just to fuck with us
Tetris Effect is at 95?! •-•. Also damn a game with 97????top 5 switch games of the year on meta:

If they give it a 9 it might be the push it needs to hit 90If Edge gives it a 9, what needs to happen to achieve a 90 overall? If they give it an 8, is the dream officially dead? Lmao
a hell lot of criticism towards Bowser's Fury.Tetris Effect GOAT.
(Seriously though, I still don't understand why SM3DW didn't score higher when MK8DX did).
I LOVE Tetris Effect, don't get me wrong, but that's a little too high.Tetris Effect is at 95?! •-•. Also damn a game with 97????
Weird as hell since is a great extra.a hell lot of criticism towards Bowser's Fury.
it was actually at a perfect 100 for more than a week, the first game on metacritic to do so.Tetris Effect is at 95?! •-•. Also damn a game with 97????

that list is for switch games in 2021. metacritic separates scores and reviews by platform. Is that score for Tetris Effect just for the Switch version?
it got 7 back to back perfect scores. a game needs at least 7 reviews to get into the top games of all time list. it's one of the best visual novels of all time, according to most people who've played it.That's impressive!!!! Damn...
How did that happen?? Are there few reviews or is it really THAT great?
Well hot damn. TE must be one of those games that has seemingly gone up in score every time it got reviewed.that list is for switch games in 2021. metacritic separates scores and reviews by platform.

apparently it's really good, but it's super niche so it have the bare minimum number of reviews to "count"That's impressive!!!! Damn...

the dev talked about what it was like to get that kind of reception. i made a thread about it on the old forum, if you're interested:Well hot damn. TE must be one of those games that has seemingly gone up in score every time it got reviewed.
Dream case scenario - and still a possibility.Plot twist: Edge will give Dread a 10, making it a 91 at MC.
