Why only five boards? That seems so few. There had to be tons of classic boards they could have used. Do you think they’re aiming for DLC later down the line?

99.9% we either get DLC or free updates. Or a mix of both

I'm extremely stoked! A little sad that there aren't more 'extended' minigames like Infinite Booksquirm, but excited nonetheless!!

I've actually never played a mario party game ever :eek: I did really like the wii u animal crossing board game though haha for all the stick it got (same devs right?). Thinking about jumping in!

This may end up legitimately being my GOTY. I'll certainly be playing longer than anything else releasing this year.

There's room for boards from 4-7, but if they do it I have a feeling it won't be too many.

I feel like there is a high chance for a hidden 6th board at least, that seems to be the case for a lot of Mario Party games

A Discord friend was actually wondering if there could be two hidden boards based on the negative space on the Japanese website page with the boards’ logos - which would be amazing but I’m a bit skeptical of

Personally I haven’t bought a Mario Party since 7 but I’m keeping this on radar, but being geographically halfway across the world from most of my peeps makes the prospect of choppy online daunting lol

Also, consider this a first post by a long time accountless thread lurker *waves*

I almost bought Super Mario Party on sale, I’m so happy I waited cuz Superstar is the PERFECT Mario Party game I ever wanted. Will wait for the first sale tho, idk if I would ever buy a Mario Party day one/full price.

I have high hopes and expectations for this game after growing up with the Nintendo 64 games.

Hopefully this game delivers and also that we get more boards.

The Mario Party 1 village being back is a big deal for me. So much nostalgia there. Now I really feel like with the item shop being there we could have an unlockable board and maybe some unlockable characters. It would be a great way to spend coins/stars on just like MP1. Stickers for sure will be there to buy, but I hope ND Cube really does it like the original. If there is an unlockable board in the item shop I think it will be Waluigi’s Island from Mario Party 3.

We saw Peach won the minigame and she got all the coins. I think in the options house we will be able to turn off everyone getting money from minigames which is great news for me.

The Bank is gone for an online communication building. The boat will take you back to Mt. Minigame instead of the Minigame island.

God, Mario Party 1 - 3 were such a large party of my childhood. Great to see them back, especially since the N64 version of MP1 will probably never be rereleased.

I can’t wait for this game to come out, just four more Fridays left (or three if you’re getting it at 11:59pm Thursday the 28th), and then it’ll be a blast partying with friends and or family!

Will this be the best Mario Party yet? I mean that overwiew trailer looked amazing. The graphics are top notch and it seems there are a lot of fun mini games in there.

Not sure about best, but when you’re pulling from some of the best from the past it’ll be great!

Never had a good reason to pick up and spend time on the first three Mario Party titles due to a lack of people who were interested back then, plus most people I knew started when 4 and 5 were the latest releases. Earnestly excited to spend some time with these boards now that it's more practical to find other people to play with!
