Just when I thought Kyle couldn't get any more cynical he goes and unmakes Mega Man Legends Remake over something as harmless as a mouth that is two white hot dogs.

Kyle's Halloween stream on Twitch is due to start (though running a bit late ATM). The game will be Muppet Monster Adventure for PS1. Also expect a costume and some fun things to trade your "marbles" in for. 🙂

What makes Kyle's Halloween streams so good is that he is easily sent into laughter by his own bits.

He takes such joy from Ya Baby Ghost and Razor Drops.

Well, good thing I've been lazy about getting the scores up, because Kyle accidentially deleted the emulator and all the saves, so he's going to restart the season. 😑

The botw stuff is brand new to the Souls games that From makes. The more typical Souls experience is what you see from the castle sequence in the trailer.

From watching it a few times, I feel that Elden Ring is Breath of the Wild open world with bosses wandering around and the "dungeons" being more traditional Souls locales. The base camp situation reminded me of Sekiro/Ghost of Tsushima, too. The core is definitely still Souls, but they are broadening the mechanics to make it more mainstream, I think.

My favorite idea from him for this series was the battle royal Tony Hawk game where your arms get bigger whenever you do sick tricks and you gotta shove people off their boards or whatever

Kyle's playthrough of Metroid Dread is doing my brain in. I'm only watching up to the parts I've beaten myself to compare where he did better and where I did, and the results are ... wild.

Kyle impressively beats Kraid on the first try. Then, mere seconds after obtaining the Shinespark ability and continuing to talk about it, he attempts to bomb jump up to a hole in the ceiling two screens high in the air ... and pulls it off!

I'm so confused yet so entertained.

Watching other peoples playthroughs of Dread is maddening, the amount of people who can't use an extremely obvious map is crazy. All of them skip over the path/door/large dark area they clearly haven't been in yet, and run around like headless chickens. But I'm sure its done for the viewers, there is no way so many times they can get the cursor within a pixel of what they need and then suddenly move it the other way and get lost for 30 mins.

Waaay late to this but this is probably Kyle’s most inventive video. The way parts of the script are missing as he talks about both A-B and Legends Arceus but it somehow still makes sense is simply elegant.

I also always like his takes on video game advertising, particularly in how he dislikes that a lot of game reveals and teasers don’t have actual gameplay in them.

Excellent insight into what makes the Pokemon engine run. I’d add that even before the three starters, there’s the two versions. So right off the bat people discuss, which version are you getting? Which starter are you picking?
