Just found a place I've never been to in Super Mario Odyssey. Wtf.

Got the game Day 1 and beat it over the weekend. Been booting it up over the years to run around and enjoy the kingdoms while picking up moons here and there.

I guess I never entered the manhole by the cafe invv beMetro Kingdom, because I did not recognize the Power Moon factory at all. And I fou d two moons in there.

Crazy

Uhh

I thought you needed to go in there for story reasons

Isn’t there the piranha plant boss fight to restore the power and get the multi moon

I didn't find Lurelin village in BotW until I had sunk like 100 hours into the game

I don't think all the multi-moons are strictly required. IIRC you just need to meet the threshold to unlock the next area.

Possibly, I'm not sure why I never grabbed those two moons though.

Does this mean you'd never done the "A Traditional Festival" multi-moon either? Because that one is literally the highlight of the game lol

Oh shit yeah, the power plant multi-moon is required for the festival.

It’s one of the most magical Nintendo moments ever, if you haven’t experienced it.

Y'all are making me think I've actually just been to this room and forgot about it

Oh well, guess that's what happens when you turn 30

Yeah I had the same experience. Kind of insane, finding a brand new village.
That entire like bottom right hand quarter quadrant of the map was unexplored by me for the longest. Not sure why? I don't think the game gives a ton of direction to go there or something. I just remember basically beating the game and seeing that was down there and then going to check it out.

Probably for the best. From what I can remember there's a lot of verticality to the terrain so having the big ups helps.

There's a warp pipe underneath the platform your ship rests on in the Ruined Kingdom. Jump inside and thank me later
Can't seem to find it. You aren't talking about the square stone pipe next to it, are you?

youve got to travel through the rainforest type area to get there which murders the framerate. but eventide island is one of the coolest shrine quests in the game so it's worth it to make the trek down there

I found eventide just from hearing it was there and then sailing down the coast. I think I hit eventide first and then found the village down there. Definitely remember finding that village by sailing in to it.
