Discussion If Nintendo doesn't intend to make a new Star Fox game, why not give Krystal a Dinosaur Planet spinoff instead?

The reactions to the mere thought of having Krystal in something new is always so stupid.

Krystal is not a taboo as people make out to be. This shit was always crazy to me lol

And besides, she was right there in Smash Ultimate. Nintendo has no issue with her.
Real gamers(tm) play with no items, so is Krystal really in Smash Ultimate? Yes obviously

I don't see what value you'd get out of a Krystal focused game in 2023 that wouldn't be better spent on a new ip that doesn't have the "baggage" of the Star Fox IP. I love Star Fox, but there is a certain expectation for the kind of gameplay in a Star Fox title.

Not arguing that she needs her own game (though I'd love a SFA follow up where you could play as her as intended), but really.. if there's a place for her in the next Star Fox game, she will show up.

It's not like Miyu and Fay are any different in the sense of being designed as attractive anthropomorphic characters; Heck.. same applies to Panther and Wolf.

For what is worth, my desire is to see Star Fox move past Command lore-wise (doesn't need to be after any of the crazy endings; there's room to do stuff in between), so we can have the whole cast again.

Don't get me wrong when I say this, because there are some Rareware games from back in the day that are at the TOP of my list. I love the DKC franchise, 007 holds up on my n64 to this day, and Conker is a charming movie mash-up...

... but some of their games, like JFG (omg shoot me), Donkey Kong 64, Banjo games, and SFA were terrible collectathons. Like... insufferable videogames.

Star Fox Adventures could be a rad franchise... but it would need some kind of interesting game mechanic(s).

Nintendo might own DP rights, and a dinosaur game could be cool... but again, if it played like SFA (good chance) or a lot of their other 3rd person adventures, it would need some actual videogame added to it to make it worthwhile.
