Echoing what others have said, this feels like lost game from the late 90s/early 2000s in the best way.
It has that earnest, good-natured charm and upbeat enthusiasm that's harder to find these days, reminiscent of a simpler time when just the joy of exploring a colourful three dimensional world was all you needed.
I miss games like this.
