Final Fantasy XIV - Photo Mode Thread

People in various Discords are probably getting annoyed at my gpose addiction, so let's do a thread instead. Get in here and share your Warrior of Light!

Rules:

1. 3rd party tools you use to assist your photos such as Reshade/Gshade, Anamnesis/CPM, and TexTools are fine here but avoid identifying info like your character name in case the fuzz is watching. These tools are against FFXIV ToS.
2. Please use spoiler tags if your photos contain significant character or plot revelations, even as far back as A Realm Reborn.
3. If you have a cat you must post it (in game as well as IRL).
4. If it's an IRL cat, you must tell me their name.
5. Although not required, it is highly recommended that you Fantasia to Lalafell.

This does look really nice! I love how much shaders make the game pop. Going back to the vanilla look of the game is rough lol.

I wanted to buy that version of the Collegiate Blazer with the tie, but I also prefer the slacks over the skirt and was salty that I'd have to buy two sets to get the items I wanted. So instead of having both, I have neither.

The base game has a built-in photo mode called Group Pose or gpose. You can access it from your skill menu or typing /gpose. This gives you more camera movement freedom, lighting tools, etc.

I also use Anamnesis, which has a ton of options. Gear changing, model importing, you can download pose presets or make your own, adjust weather and time of day, gives you an insane amount of camera freedom including out-of-bounds witchcraft, etc. But reiterating that 3rd party tools are against ToS, so if you use it, don't talk about it in game or on official forums!

Go into Gpose, select an emote you want and then freeze your character's animation when something that looks good to you. You can get a lot of cool shots that you normally wouldn't see in-game.

Fancier stuff requires you to use third-party tools to manipulate character's skeletons.

I like to keep this pic around just to remind myself of how far I've come. It's an auto-capture from when I got my first trophy on PS4. I had only been playing for a few hours.

I could never get those bottoms to drop for me before taking a break from the game. Expert dungeons are so stingy with gear drops I swear to god lol

I love the Paglth'an tops, but preferred to match them with the Ryumyaku (370 tome gear) pants and Auri racial gear. So less farming!

This is me being given a lift on a Chocobo that looks very fancy.

This is me standing next to a Chocobo that isn't mine but I really wanted it cause it looks so cool. I think it was a valentines event thing though that I missed out on?

I believe this is when I hit lvl 50 in Bard and I found the armour that I was wearing pretty funny cause I look like a jester.


Sadly I didn't take too many pictures during my time playing 14 so I don't have much else to share. I kinda wish I'd taken a picture of my own Chocobo because I worked quite hard to dye him red like that Valentine Chocobo and he looks pretty nice from what I remember.

Definitely. Queuing with a healer kept the downtime to a minimum at least, but I've been trying to complete the striking set since the patch dropped and am still missing the legs.

I haven't played Zero, but Elie's top actually looks quite close to the Gunslinger's Coat, the Lv80 MCH artifact gear.

This is my DRG, which has been my main job since I started playing! It wasn't until ShB I even had a proper glam for the job, however. I got plenty of other fun jobs as well. Once a mi'qote, when I played the old free trial, I eventually decided to switch to au ra. First I was blue, but then I made the jump to green and I couldn't be happier. I just need to take more screenshots...
