Qute Corporation will release vertically scrolling shoot ’em up ESCHATOS for Switch on November 18 in Japan for 3,300 yen, followed by PlayStation 4 at a later date, the developer announced. Both versions are also planned for release outside Japan.

In case that sample up there isn't clear enough, the composer (Yousuke Yasui) is a legitimate underappreciated master in terms of game music. Even in games you wouldn't expect.

Would you believe this song came from an educational game intended to teach kids English? The "Counter-Strike" name is a direct reference to the FPS, BTW, the album containing it has several songs named after other Valve games.

In case you need a reason to buy this outside of the music. These console ports will also include the two Wonderswan games that originally inspired it. Judgement Silversword and Cardinal Sins.

Western Switch Release Date Confirmed! (January 13 2022)

Still no word on the PS4 release date, even in Japan.
Another big announcement buried in the press release is that this version of the game will include a remastered version of that legendary soundtrack.
Choose from Three Different Background Music Sound Sources!

Available in “Original Background Music,” “Arranged Background Music,” and “Remastered Background Music” (high-resolution version of “Original Background Music”).

Enjoy the increased depth of sound while keeping the original FM sound source as a base.
That's right, they're gonna try to make it even better~

Hyped for this. Hope it leads to Qute porting Ginga Force and Natsumi Chronicles too down the line. And maybe a Dicing Knight remaster if they're still dabbling in WSC stuff?
