It being by BB Studio is a good sign, at least. They eventually stopped adding Region Locks for the Super Robot Wars series. Though in that case the game was already translated to English.
We're celebrating the release of Tears of the Kingdom. Check out the thread here!
Steam page is region-locked so looking not very likely to get localized. It's being developed by B.B.Studio, which is known for Super Robot Wars
Chibi is a bit of a turn off for me. It’s why I never played Bravely Default.Im still confused why they made everything into chibi. Seems weird

Dragon Quest X Online was one. Also DQ Rivals.I think that's coming west tbh, I don't remember many Square games that went on Steam and stayed JP-only.

If this isn’t coming to the West, what’s the point of this product even existing? They're probably figuring out how they're gonna do about the DLC bringing the subsequent versions. Each one is probably a shitton of text that needs to be translated, and I'm not sure people in the west would buy every chapter if they sell them separately.
Like a million or so sales in Japan. If this isn’t coming to the West, what’s the point of this product even existing?
Really? There's no reason this shouldn't be 60fps on all systems.looks really nice in 60fps. don't think the switch would hit that though

Theres a number of games you can say that about. But I think they will prioritize resolution over frame rateReally? There's no reason this shouldn't be 60fps on all systems
Yeah not sure what's going on, personally I'm fine with the chibi characters but there are times in that video where the overworld graphics seem to change from high detail realistic texture work to sprite art psx unfiltered pixels . It's a little strange considering the original DQX world has a very clean and consistent cartoony art style. The art style is really, awkward? I don’t really like the look of it.
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. It’s a very inconsistent looking version of the game.Yeah not sure what's going on, personally I'm fine with the chibi characters but there are times in that video where the overworld graphics seem to change from high detail realistic texture work to sprite art psx unfiltered pixels . Just thought the same. I don't read a single Japanese character, but I might still get this anyway. Google Translate app will have to help me figure out the quests lolI will buy this even if not localized. It looks that good!
this will probably recycle audio from the online game. 12 will probably be the first main game without his leadershipThis sounds so good... Also the first DQ without Sugiyama. ❤️
It's not the chibi that bothers me, it's the low fidelity. The models look like they can use an extra 2000 triangles and thr textures can go up another factor. They're not even going for that lofi look, it's a weird blendI can't stand the chibi character models. Really turning me off to the entire game lol...
This thread bump almost gave me a heart attack thinking they announced the localization lol
We're back to good old times of being a DQ fan
I think the only way this comes over is if Nintendo or Sony pays for it to.
that's always been the caseI was taking a look at the pictures in the link, and noticed on the copyrights they don't listen Sugiyama's company anymore. I'm not sure that has always been the case for screenshots but I don't think so? Just thought it was interesting, since the game will still have Sugiyama's music. Maybe SE now owns the music again?
