I appreciate the kind words. Like seriously, and the constructive feedback.
I think ultimately I wanted to created a troubled protagonist that has some clear flaws with how she perceives the world, where part of her troubles are by circumstance but also her own doing. I'm interested in seeing how you see her evolve through the rest of the story. The demo only covers the first four chapters out of sixteen, so expect it to go places. I think despite the scuffness of it, I've done well to establish a tone/vibe of it, so thank you for that.
I built it in Tyranobuilder. I don't require extensive programming knowledge and is akin to snapping lego pieces together.
I think if I ever want to learn coding/programming, I'll make the jump to Ren'Py, but for now Tyranobuilder does what I need it to do on a basic enough level.
The art assets are a combination of stock images heavily edited in GIMP, or hand-painted canvas IRL for the more surrealist pieces. Mono is a portrait I painted IRL. The Boy is a picrew asset I used, it's mostly a placeholder until I buy more canvas and hopefully paint him too.
The music are basic melodies I slapped together in Ableton, and I sampled two or three songs I really like.
Tyranobuilder is something I've never heard of, but it looks really simple and easy to manage, which is great.
Good luck in the future!
