Breath of The Wild is now fully playable in Arabic thanks to modders

Arabic-speaking players may lack official support to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in their language, but thanks to a new mod, that may no longer be a problem.

Thanks to a team of dedicated translators and modders calling themselves Eternal Dream Arabization, there is now a complete Arabic translation of all the text in the game, including the logo itself. Additionally, as Arabic runs from right to left, the team had to reverse the flow of the text from its standard left to right.

The mod is compatible with the Wii U, Wii U emulators, and jailbroken Nintendo Switch systems. If emulating the game, the developers recommend using the Wii U version on an emulator such as Cemu. The developers of the mod do ask that players support the game’s official release

That logo looks stunning and you can immediately recognize it as the Zelda logo. Shows how great Nintendo's logo design can be.

I can't imagine the amount of work this must've taken. Great job, modders!

Really cool stuff.

I was curious to see what other Zelda games had also gotten similar translations, and discovered that the Original NES game.

Wow, this is huge! I might get my cousins to play the game now! Heck, I'm even interested in playing it again in Arabic, I really love this.
Especially since the majority of games just don't get translated in Arabic (and no Nintendo games at all), despite it being one of the most spoken languages in the world.

Arabic writing is really beautiful.
Check out Arabic poetry and calligraphy, it's visual art all the way. It's been an important part of Arabic culture for over a thousand years.

Also, this guy makes some awesome logos in Arabic, though they're transliterated (and no Nintendo games sadly!).
