Just two days left. We (or I) need a thread to discuss the final season!

Can’t wait for this, this show has been amazing since season 1 and has just gotten better and better.
Excited to see how it all ends

For me, it's bittersweet. I've been following this universe for over a decade now. Many of us have. Now, things are finally coming to an end. No more Walt, Jesse, Jimmy, Mike, etc. The story will conclude.

On the bright side, it's amazing to think that we got two of the greatest shows of all time, from Vince, Peter, and everyone else who worked on them. When BB ended, I knew BCS was on the way, but I don't think I could've anticipated it ending up as good as it did. What a show.

So is there one episode per week? If yes, I will probably save up some episodes and binge them.

Is it not a double episode tomorrow? I remember reading that.
Tomorrow is a double episode, then 4 weekly episodes stretching through mid-May (6 eps total for the season's first half), then a hiatus until July 11, when the final 7 episodes will begin airing.

It's funny, Breaking Bad had 62 episodes (1st season = 7 eps, 2/3/4 are 13 eps, 5 is 16 eps), and Better Call Saul will end with 63 (10 eps x 5, 13 eps x 1). Had to be intentional!

Fuuuck I am so excited for this. I know it's foolish, but I fully trust Vince Gilligan to end the show - and the entire Breaking Bad universe in turn - on a high note. No way they're gonna fuck this one up.

“We lost everything! Because of you our kids have to go to public school”

Kim is already way too comfortable in what she does, even Jimmy can't keep up with her change of pace.

It's obvious by now that whatever happens to her will catalyst Jimmy into becoming Saul fully but I'm anxious what it will be. Hopefully it will be satisfying.

That was fantastic. I really missed this show, just thoroughly enjoy it start to finish. It’s just so well shot, written, and acted. I forgot how good TV can be.

Favorite part is always watching Jimmy set up dominoes and letting them fall. And this time, Kim had to step in with the stick to knock the last one over.

Hmm, Dominoes…

Edit: actually maybe it’s watching Mike do anything. Total competence porn.

I'm feeling pretty dumb asking this, but why did Mike planted the motel phone number on the safe? Was he trying to wash Gus's hands or something like that?

The way they bring back side characters from several seasons ago in unexpected ways is great. I love Betsy and Craig.

What an episode. Holy shit.
I had a pit in my stomach for the duration of the episode, and even awhile afterwards. Such a sad ep. Poor Nacho, man. 😭 RIP to one of the best characters, across both shows.

Last night's episode was an absolute masterclass. Really excellent, tragic, cathartic stuff.

The lighting and framing in episode 3 transcends even the show's usual standards. I'm almost speechless.

I'm just waiting until tomorrow evening. Been thinking about the last episode this entire past week.

Yeah, I usually just binge shows after they're already done (and I did so as well with BCS until a few months ago) and I forgot how excruciating the wait is for one episode a week at a time.

I wish they had the budget for some good de aging tech. The actors age (especially Odenkirk) actually bothers me this season.
Odenkirk more than Esposito? I'm surprised! Odenkirk is at least in the best shape of his adult life so it helps me overlook the aging.

Some thoughts, regarding tonight's episode.
At the end of S1 + beginning of S2, Jimmy walks away from that cushy Davis & Main job, because he would rather do things the way he tends to do them: the Slippin' Jimmy way. Kim desperately tries to convince him to take the job, and in response, Jimmy demonstrates to Kim the joy of running a good scam. This is, quite notably, the first instance of the Zafiro Añejo stopper as narrative symbolism.

Now, the situation has been reversed: this time, it's Jimmy encouraging Kim to follow the right path, and Kim refusing this, because she'd rather do things the Slippin' Kimmy way. A Zafiro Añejo stopper is once again present (and careful, it's sharp!), but Jimmy is forced to leave it behind, so he can live to fight another day.

...But Kim still has her stopper.

And for the second time, Cliff Main finds himself providing the wrong person with a solid job opportunity.

Wonderful how they've managed to wrap back around, and bring everything full circle. This show is brilliant. I cannot wait for the midseason finale.

That was absolutely incredible.

The parallels between Howard's breakdown and Chuck's really stood out, and of course each was followed by their respective deaths. I had figured for a while that Howard would die at the hands of Lalo, but I thought it would be related to his investigation of Jimmy.

Superb episode, superb series, hotly anticipating its conclusion.

I'm speechless. 11/10 episode. All hail Better Call Saul, the GOAT.

Thomas Schnauz tweeted out a warning yesterday that I interpreted at the time as him tempering our expectations, but re-reading it now… lol

Dude was just doing a bit of the 'ol trolling 🤣

Fixed thread title (was previously Better "Caul" Saul).

Sorry, that was bugging me a little

I'm floored. What a return. This show does drama and suspense like no other.

Of course Howard got buried with fucking Lalo. Because his life didn't suck enough.
