This is my dream too. I don’t want to delete my island (way too attached, even if I don’t play right now - I still drop in on Wild World and New Leaf occasionally), but I’d love to start a new one. Just let us fly to it via Dodo and split our time like the extra island in Stardew.

I'm only deleting my island and starting over (for the second time, mind you) if they make it easier to get seasonal DIY recipes. I sat with my game open for hours just to get all the Christmas DIY recipes so I could do this...

I’m always tempted to delete my island and start over because I did a lousy job laying things out at the start, but even if I don’t play for months at a time, I don’t want to lose my animal friends.

If it was just Brewster they'd have just shown the trailer for it during the Direct or on Twitter, like they did for other updates. This is a 20-minute long showcase.

I agree—If you weren't convinced by the initial pre-release promotion cycle (or the early lockdown hype), you'll probably never be convinced.

Honestly, I have never looked into the game till now, because it’s one of those “genres” I never play. Recently though, I have been trying to expand my horizons, so to speak, and it’s been a great experience so far. I’m just looking for new experiences.

Won't watch it live, hoping to not get spoiled by other thumbnails when I'll go to youtube to watch it tonight.

So far, what we got and what was datamined was so different, so altered (probably because of Covid) that I wouldn't predict too much stuff based on it.
Like, I expect Gyroids to be there along with the Café, mayyyybe a few new crops (but even then, feel like they just dropped that idea all together), but the rest will just be brand new stuff.

They said when it was first announced the update is in November.
The tactic of always moving the goalposts so everything can be made out to be a failure is something best left in the old place.

Constellations really is a strange omission. I was sure it would be in the game, but it’s the kind of thing I would now expect for a future game being a fundamental change (the way the sky displays).
