a copy of the lost Satellaview game "Pico Pico Pirates" has finally been found and dumped.

it's basically a Whack-A-Mole type game that uses every button on the controller.


surprisingly there seems to be very little info on who made it, even with the dump being out there. there's speculation that it might have been a internal game jam thing (like the 2005 one that had documentation in the Gigaleak.) but that's not confirmed.

not 100% confident, but i think we're fairly close to having the full library of exclusives (that is, actual games. and not the numerous magazines.) mostly preserved, i say "mostly" because the Soundlink (sort of, there were methods to record it outside the Satellaview, but it's far harder to come by than the memory packs) and PSRAM data is pretty much permanently lost due to the nature of it.
not to mention the fact devs are finally starting to re-release their stuff officially, like the recent port of Radical Dreamers.
