Hello! If you don't know me I'm 1upmuffin, I've been with the Gaf/Era/Fami Nintendo community for many years. I started as a member of SmashGAF and founded NintendoEra, now Nintendo Pipeline. I also co-host the Nintendo Pipeline Podcast, a fun podcast where we talk about Nintendo and often have members of the Discord on as guests.

Besides gaming I love museums, animals, tea/coffee, stationary, books (literature and comics), and history.

Hello, everyone.

My name is Raccoon. It isn't Racoon, or Raccon, or any other permutation of the letters r, a, c, o, and n. I am relatively new to this community, having made a handful of Nintendo Direct speculation threads on another site. I have a scholarly fixation on games that leverage scale, especially dynamic scale, such as Katamari, Chibi-Robo, and Pikmin. I hope that if anyone has any questions about Nintendo's Wii series or the Nintendo EPD groups I am able to answer them.

Speaking more personally, I am a university computer science student who is aiming to graduate at the end of this year (knock on wood) and am interested in independent game development. I care about music from many eras and of many genres far more than I even do Nintendo, and am arguably more knowledgeable about LA session musicians of the 70s and 80s than anything related to tech. That being said, I am also a fan of retro Apple computers, having repaired some Macintosh units and owning several.

I hope to recognize even more people here in the coming months.

I'm WestEgg. I've been around since gaf and the beginning of era, but I've never really been what you'd call a "prominent member", and if you know me, it's most likely as the guy who posts that image of Link climbing in Breath of the Wild in sales threads. In fact, I never expected to have that much of a role in helping this site get off the ground, but well here we are!

Outside of video games, I'm a big fan of college sports, especially my Purdue Boilermakers, and am something of a writer.

Anyway, I hope we build something great here, welcome everyone!

Since Kid Icarus: Uprising is by now widely recognized as the secret best game in the 3DS library, I have decided to take on a new mission on this board and switch my shilling to the Wii versions of Pro Evolution Soccer. Hopefully, over time, these titles - and their non-wrist-pulverizing, no-stand-required, yet still controversially innovative controls - will gain a similar vocal cult following that begs for their re-release on modern hardware so everyone may finally understand.

Then I can happily spend the rest of famidays explaining how a port would really miss what made the original special.

I lurked on gaff, but never registered. On resetera I did the same, but did post about Animal Crossing when I needed things and maybe Splatoon (both are 2000+ hour games for me). I collect Wii U as it's a fascinating, bold and frustrating flop (it's a huge, terrifying hobby and I don't know how to stop), but mostly play only Switch these days. Apart from gaming I like Germany, cold porridge, TV shows like The Comeback, Dark and Sunset Beach, and 90s dance music is my permanent coma. I'm from Scotland.

This place already has a more relaxed, accessible feel and bravo to those who made it happen.

I imagine nobody here will know who I am since I mostly keep a low profile but I've been a part of these communities in some capacity for...5 years now? It's kind of scary to think about that. I like to play games on just about everything nowadays but I still have a special place in my heart for Nintendo, so it's nice having a cozy place to continue discussing them that isn't Reddit. What else can I say? My favourite console is probably the Gamecube, I like RPG's of all sorts, I like to watch anime/read manga, and I enjoy the occasional novel as well, pretty standard stuff for a nerd I would say, oh and I'm from Canada. I'm GamerJM. I've been lurking in Nintendo Era/GAF threads since the WUS days, but I don't post a whole lot (in those, I prefer one-off topics over community centric threads due to my need to obsessively read every post in a thread to participate). I'm someone who grew up a Nintendo fanboy but now is just kinda jaded with the entire industry, despite still playing and buying new games across Switch/PS4/PC (though I'm also passionate about retro games). I also enjoy following the competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee and In the Groove 2 scenes. My favorite series are Fire Emblem, Pokemon (though everything post-gen 5 I'm iffy on), and Zelda.

I also enjoy cutesy anime, indie pop music, going on walks, blockbuster films, progressive politics, and being queer (bi/gender questioning amab). I find languages and statistics vaguely interesting but am not super involved in either (I did a statistics emphasis in college, and know basic Spanish, Japanese, and Korean to where I can have a very basic conversation but that's about it). I work in an obscure IT field and live on the west coast.

I love video games, and grew up with a GameBoy Color, Nintendo 64, and a PlayStation 2. The biggest games of my childhood are Pokémon (gen 1/2, Snap, Stadium), and Kingdom Hearts.
I now own every Nintendo and Sony system since and now mostly use my Switch and PS5.

I also enjoy other “mainstream” nerdy stuff like the MCU and Star Wars.

Hi! I'm a former gaffer who didn't get an ERA account for my own mental health, so I spent the past few years lurking the boards and haunting discords.

Nintendo communities have always been more open than most internet groups, so when I was told about this place I had to check it out. I'm excited to get on the ground floor and watch this place grow into an even greater community. Going to try and keep my posts to a minimum, for my sake and yours, but I'm excited to play switch games and have a use for my NSO membership again.

I'm a screenwriter, so my main hobby is procrastinating and self loathing over not getting work done. I play Nintendo games, but I also have Xbox gamepass and stadia(i know).
