The thing is that I don't particularly think that Tour is just a game made for porting a bunch of tracks to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It's its own game with its own merits (and detriments, sure) and it deserves its own tracks.
Also: "BrTour" could easily be Brasília.
Normally I'd agree if it wasn't a mobile game. Those tracks are doomed to be deleted unless they're ported to MK8D, as mobile games don't have long lifespans.

Mario Kart Wii modding scene will ensure a version of those tracks live on forever.

1. Toad Factory
2. Maka Wuhu
3. Airship Fortress
4. Either Dino Dino Jungle OR DK Mountain
5. Daisy Circuit
I’d love to see Toad Factory, Maka Wuhu, and DK Mountain too. Daisy Circuit is solid too, though I’d love to see Daisy Cruiser and Dry Dry Ruins for Daisy and Wii courses first.

I don’t know where my feelings on Dino Dino Jungle are lol. Pretty sure I really enjoyed that course back in the day and the unique dinosaur theme is cool. The wooden bridge section is my favorite part.

Uhh, this might be our first sign that the Booster Course Pass will continue after Wave 6. GCN Rainbow Road was datamined for Tour and it has an asset that indicates that anti-gravity will be part of the track.

The comments there say it’s fake.

Unfortunately for our speculation this (and the Moo Moo Meadows objects added to the page by the same editor) are made up; no new objects have been added to Tour for awhile now, and these names are inaccurate to how GameCube tracks and related objects are labeled in the file (just GC; as it is officially abbreviated in Japan). Objects intended to only be used on one specific track also usually include the abbreivation of the course title immediately afterwards, like:
  • RoadMovingGcdm (the bridge on DK Mountain)
  • TableGcdc / HatchGcdc (the moving tables and underwater hatch in Daisy Cruiser)
Still fun to talk about tracks we wish could've made the cut anyway though. My top 3 is pretty much idential to yours (Toad Factory is the best Wii track that has never been remade; the Wuhu Island tracks are both fun; and Airship Fortress is the most surprising absence of them all). Beyond that I would've liked to see Delfino Square, another Bowser's Castle (N64, GC; even DS or Wii), Shy Guy Bazaar, Mushroom City (if we really are just getting Bridge), and maybe Lakeside Park (depending on what the potential upcoming Tour remake looks like).

Damn it. I was really hoping it was real!

The dream was fun while it lasted. Still have some tracks I’m really looking forward to with Koopa Cape and Rainbow Road Wii especially. Also three GameCube tracks to speculate about and the three brand new courses to speculate over!

Any particular reason why it’s Bridge? Not all that surprised, but I don’t keep up with Tour datamines so I’d be interested in hearing why.

If it’s also coming to the BCP, I could see Nintendo pushing it into Wave 5 and moving either Sunset Wilds or Bowser’s Castle 3 to Wave 6. The latter would make a lot of sense if they don’t have any other Bowser tracks planned.

EDIT: I'm assuming you're talking about this? Curious where these datamines came from. Gonna spoiler tag the stuff so people here can read it, the spreadsheet isn't particularly mobile friendly.
Dates are for when the Tour starts. Italicized names are unconfirmed.
  • GCN Mushroom Bridge, Piranha Plant Cove 3, and maybe GCN Waluigi Stadium (5/17)
  • Wii Daisy Circuit and GBA Peach Circuit (5/31)
  • N64 Mario Raceway and GBA Luigi Circuit (6/14)
  • GBA Lakeside Park (6/28)
  • Tour Rio Blast (7/12)
  • Sarasaland Temple(7/26)
    • mobDK almost certainly stands for mobDaisyKingdom if this is true, which makes a ton of sense
  • Bathroom Run(8/9)
    • Surprised that we're apparently getting two new tracks back-to-back
  • GCN Sherbet Land (8/23)
    • Guess the Sundae Tour got pushed back a slot
  • Wii Moonview Highway (9/6)
  • Anniversary Tour (9/20)
That's a lot of new tracks that won't be making their way to the BCP.
I'm curious why they're speculating Rio over MobMD (likely Madrid) for July? MobMD has a file name and some assets while Rio has nothing other than the ID gap.

Knowing what we know about Waves 5 and 6, what are your top five retro courses that you want in, but didn’t make the cut for the first BCP?

For me it’s:

1 Bowser’s Castle Wii
2 Airship Fortress DS
3 Bowser’s Castle N64
4 Delfino Square DS
5 Desert Hills DS
1) GCN Wario Colosseum
2) 3DS Wuhu Loop
3) Wii Toad's Factory
4) DS Airship Fortress
5) 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar

1) GCN Wario Colosseum
2) 3DS Wuhu Loop
3) Wii Toad's Factory
4) DS Airship Fortress
5) Wii Daisy Circuit
Wario Colosseum would be cool! We still have three open spots left for GameCube track speculation so anything is possible!

Not getting my hopes up for a track that has no indication of coming to Tour this far in, plus we already have stadium, plus we already have four tracks up for running. I'm not too peeved tho, Cruiser, DDJ or DKM, and Bridge are all great tracks, so I'm excited to play them in 8DX!

The ID gap is much more reliable when it comes to projecting dates. Rio isn't locked in, but the ID gap between Paris and Singapore is indicating that we're probably seeing whatever track falls in that gap for that particular tour, which is likely a City track.

As for my personal top 5 missed tracks from the BCP:
  • DS Delfino Square
  • 3DS Maka Wuhu
  • DS Airship Fortress
  • GCN Bowser's Castle
  • N64 Bowser's Castle

I think I understand. That ID gap between Paris and Singapore is firmer evidence of a course coming relatively soon over the evidence for MobMD.

My top 5 looks the same as yours though I would cheat and add a 6th: DS Luigi's Mansion.

Basically I think DS has the highest number of banger tracks missed while I think they did a decent job overall with the other console's track selections.

It's been so long since I accepted defeat to Waluigi Stadium, I forgot Wario Colosseum entirely. As long as one or two of these GCN tracks (Colosseum, Mushroom City and Bowser's Castle) get a sick remake in Mario Kart 10...

It’s weird because Colosseum jumps out as a next gen MK remake, but at the same time Wario Stadium 64 is the last remaining retro pick from that game… but I don’t see us getting two Wario retro tracks for some reason

At the very least, Wario Stadium 64 and Wario Colosseum are pretty distinct from each other thematically. That's gotta be at least a small point in their favor!

Wario Stadium in Mario Kart 10 would be incredible. I adore that track and it’d be cool to get a royal upgrade for it. It’s a little lengthy though, so I hope they respect that.

I was a bit skeptical of Mushroom Bridge given it’s on the easier side and I’d prefer Peach Beach over it, but they put a lot of detail into it and I’m glad they kept the boost pads over the top of the bridge. If we don’t get Peach Beach I’ll be sad, but that looks like a solid BCP add otherwise.

Given the BCP’s track record with grassy tracks, good chance this is the Wave 5 stinker in terms of visuals. Lots of cool details, but this style of track just doesn’t seem to translate over to 8 as well as other themes.

Feeling very confident that our GCN representation is gonna be Mushroom Bridge, Daisy Cruiser, and DK Mountain now. Think we see two in Wave 5.

I'm thinking more and more that we'll have 2 NGC tracks in wave 5.
Mushroom Bridge and Daisy Cruiser, with Bowser's Castle pushed to wave 6.

I can totally see something like that :
Feather:
Athens
Mushroom Bridge
Koopa Cape
Los Angeles

Cherry:
mobMD
Daisy Cruiser
Sunset Wilds
mobBR

Was gonna post my predictions but its literally this except SNES BC3 replaces Sunset Wilds, as considering what we know about wave 6, it could serve as a pretty good easy course, making it the second track of the wave

Making predictions for Wave 5 is tougher than I thought; there's a small pool of tracks to pick from, but there's so many different factors that could change what gets included/excluded, as well as the track ordering. I've basically got it boiled down to this:
  • GCN Mushroom Bridge, Wii Koopa Cape, Tour Los Angeles Laps, and Tour Athens Dash are locked in
  • One of SNES Bowser Castle or GBA Sunset Wilds
    • Leaning towards the latter, but if they're planning for another Bowser track in Wave 6 that would obviously necessitate the former in Wave 5
  • One of GCN Daisy Cruiser or GCN DK Mountain
    • Depends on what MobDK is, and if it's coming in Wave 5. If it's Sarasaland, we're probably getting DK Mountain. If it's Donkey Kong or just not in Wave 5 at all, then we're probably getting Daisy Cruiser.
      • If it is Donkey Kong and in Wave 6, then the final track would probably be GCN Dino Dino Jungle, but that shouldn't really come into play for Wave 5
  • Two of Tour Vancouver Velocity, Piranha Plant Cove, Tour Whatever is Coming in Mid July, and Whatever is Coming in Late July
    • This mostly depends on when Wave 5 actually releases. If it's in June or early July (which I'm anticipating) we can scratch off the unknown City track. Then it's just a matter of whether Nintendo wants to kick a third City track into Wave 6 or not. If it's late July, then we can factor in that new City track as well as the unknown late July track, but as I said previously I don't think the timing really lines up for that.
So, gun to head, I'd go with this:
  • Feather Cup
    • Tour Vancouver Velocity
    • GCN Mushroom Bridge
    • Wii Koopa Cape
    • Tour Los Angeles Laps
  • Cherry Cup
    • Tour Athens Dash
    • GBA Sunset Wilds
    • GCN Daisy Cruiser
    • Piranha Plant Cove
OR
  • Feather Cup
    • Tour Los Angeles Laps
    • GCN Mushroom Bridge
    • Wii Koopa Cape
    • Piranha Plant Cove
  • Cherry Cup
    • Tour Athens Dash
    • GBA Sunset Wilds
    • GCN DK Mountain
    • Something Sarasaland related

While this news increases the probability of Mushroom Bridge being included in the BCP, I don't think it's an automatic lock (similar to Wii Dry Dry Ruins or GBA Yoshi Desert that got recent Tour glow ups). I'm still thinking 1 GCN track this wave - either Mushroom Bridge or Daisy Cruiser:

Feather Cup:

Athens Dash
Sunset Wilds
Koopa Cape
LA Laps

Cherry Cup:

PPC
Mushroom Bridge/Daisy Cruiser
SNES Bowser's Castle 3
MobMD or MobBR

I still think it's going to be close to what the datamines say it'll be.

Feather Cup:
  • Athens Dash
  • Sunset Wilds
  • Koopa Cape
  • Los Angeles Laps
Cherry Cup:
  • Rio Blast
  • Mushroom Bridge
  • SNES Bowser Castle 3
  • Piranha Plant Cove
Piranha Plant Cove 3 got leaked for the next Tour alongside Mushroom Bridge, so I'd say that's a lock for this wave. Petey Piranha would be the perfect character to go alongside it. It also feels like a summer track to me. Daisy Cruiser would fit well in this wave, but I don't see it getting in here over simpler tracks like Mushroom Bridge and Sunset Wilds or even SNES Bowser Castle 3. It'll probably take Maple Treeway's spot in Wave 6.

Wow, Mushroom Bridge looks great! Glad they kept the bridge rail boosts, bomb cars, and mushroom cars. Hope the Wiggler cars are there too.

I think this solidifies our final 3 GCN tracks: Mushroom Bridge, Daisy Cruiser, DK Mountain. All got high quality recent Tour remakes, all are fan favorites, and they're all distinct from each other.

Like some others here, I'm now thinking that Wave 5 will have two GCN tracks. Mushroom Bridge and Daisy Cruiser both seem like locks for the BCP, yet neither seem like "grand finale" Wave 6 tracks. So, I think the final 7 retros will play out like this:

Wave 5: Mushroom Bridge, Daisy Cruiser, Koopa Cape, Sunset Wilds
Wave 6: Bowser Castle 3, DK Jungle, Rainbow Road

I also very much think that Piranha Plant Cove WON'T be the "new" track for Wave 5. I'm not sure why that's becoming a prevalent theory. Nintendo has shown that they like to have a brand new track in that slot whenever possible. MobDK and MobBR will probably be debuting this summer, which is also when Wave 5 will probably be coming out. Either of those make a lot more sense than PPC to me.

Then that would leave PPC and whichever of DK/BR remains for Wave 6, as well as one brand new track which would debut first in Wave 6, then in Tour shortly after (like SHS and YI).

I can't decide which one is more likely between DK Mountain and Dino Dino Jungle.

DK Mountain:
Pros:
  • fan favorite (but let's not forget that they did not put Airship Fortress)
  • benefited of a real remake on Tour
Cons:
  • part of its track is reproduced in DK Summit
  • less unique because many tracks in the pass already use the cannon, and just Athens uses cannon + rolling stones

Dino Dino Jungle
Pros:
  • very appreciated
  • has been on Tour since the beta and seems to have a special place for Nintendo (also appears on a Coconut Mall poster)
  • uses the unique dinosaur asset
Cons:
  • didn't really benefit of a remake on Tour

Also, I agree for PPC and I'm glad to finally see someone thinking the same thing ! I talked about it on the previous page :

From a marketing standpoint, it doesn't make sense for Nintendo not to debut a new Tour nitro in Wave 5 imo
Wave 1 and 3 were different cases, because the tracks were already in Tour. They put Ninja Hideaway in the first wave, then they obviously saved Merry Mountain for Wave 3.

So, I'm going for a release date prediction between July 10 and July 23, before the release of the nitro track on Tour on July 26th.

I agree with your reasoning that PPC won't be the nitro track for Wave 5. I think it will be either MobDK or MobBR. However, I'm thinking they may consider PPC to be one of the three "Tour city" slots for Wave 5. It's unique in having the 3 route structure released over multiple tours like other city tracks. Also, I really doubt that both a city AND a new nitro will be good to go by July.

I think Wave 5 will have LA, Athens, and PPC as the three "city" tracks with Wave 6 having Vancouver and either "Rio" or MobMD as the two city tracks. I don't think both "Rio" AND MobMD will be in the Booster Course Pass as the clock is ticking fast for all of these new nitros and cities to be ready. As far as we know Tour has a life after the Booster Course Pass and some of these files they're working on could be intended for 2024.

Bridge. Damn.

Unrelatedly, I'd put off 3-starring the 200cc cups but I just realized last week that I've been missing out on the alternate title screens. So I'm just blasting through them for gold trophies in all of them, and I'm pretty excited to have the new title screens when I'm booting up the game a bunch for Waves 5 and 6.

Been too busy playing Zelda, but:

and as for the Mii Suit teaser for the following Tour:

Another win for ID speculation.

What characters do you think we will get in the next wave? Even without a Donkey Kong themed track, I don't think they would want to wait any longer to put Diddy Kong in.
Diddy is pretty obviouw, and, after Birdo, he would be the most logical to put. He's one of the most recurring and they seem to want to correct their absence by giving us Birdo first, though it is not a fan favorite.
For the other one, I guess it would depend on the presence of Bowser's Castle and Piranha Plant Cove, Kamek with one and Petey Piranha with the other.

I think they'll save Diddy and Funky for DK Mountain in Wave 6. This wave will have Petey Piranha and Kamek.

I wouldn't be surprised if Diddy was announced with Athens for example. Or if they decided to put DK Mountain in wave 5 with him, even though we're thinking more of wave 6 for this one. After all they could put Daisy Cruiser in wave 6 and DK Mountain (or Dino Dino Jungle) in wave 5 for more variety in theme, because we have enough summer themed tracks in wave 5 with Koopa Cape, LA, and possibly the upcoming nitro track. Last summer, we only got Sydney and SHS.
They may also decide not to put the Kongs together, because they are both Kongs and they would prefer to avoid giving them together, or they may decide to put them in together for the same reason.

There are only 2 waves left, and we know a lot of things that are coming, but nevertheless there are many ways to think about and consider. This DLC really is exciting until the end!

It’s a bit of a pipe dream, but I could totally see Nintendo adding battle mode stages and bringing back Funky Stadium + Funky.

I’ll say Diddy and Petey for Wave 5, although the order doesn’t really matter.

I think we’ll get the Kongs all on the same wave, so Diddy, Dixie, and Funky for Wave 6.

If we will really see Sarasaland, I wonder if we get to see Daisy Cruiser pushed back to wave 6. For GCN tracks this time, Mushroom Bridge. And maybe DK Jungle, which can coincide with Diddy being the character.

Would love Sarasaland - would be super interesting to see Daisy's kingdom actually portrayed outside of Game Boy hardware.
