This is it. This is the armor set I'm going to be using 99% of the time.

Can someone please spoil all the new enemies for me? I don’t wanna look at anything else.

Also, what is the name of that bird enemy. I can’t read Japanese. It its truly a Kargorak?

I just really wish I could play this game for the first time in 4K lol … the art direction is GIVING

I hate my late of will power...

Ugh, thankfully the pdf won't load for me, also:

Not on this site but over on ZU forums, I totally called the mural person being a anthro of some kind. You can't hide rabbit ears and legs from me.

Does this mean Hyrule Castle Town is coming back?

EDIT: I don't know how to spoiler tag

Code:
[spoiler]content[/spoiler]
for
content

Code:
[ispoiler]content[/ispoiler]
for content

That said, I think it's a bit silly that we're tagging stuff in a leak thread lol

I'm a bit surprised that the artbook is what's getting some people more excited

Don't get me wrong, the stuff in the artbook is pretty damn cool but I don't think it's significantly more interesting than anything shown thus far (besides the clues that underground is going to be pretty expansive

To me at least the reveals Sky Islands and vehicle crafting were a good deal more interesting

Would be really cool if they have Vaati somewhere in the game in the sky but not in his traditional role as an antagonist

Personally, it's seeing all the new creatures/enemies that has me more interested than what's been shown so far in the trailers.

It's mostly been filling in the blank of what I expected. I was anticipating subterranean temples, labyrinthine sky islands, new tribes, etc. And yeah, that's what's being shown here. So I wasn't surprised necessarily by the content of this artbook, but pleasantly fulfilled. But the sense I get is that a lot of people assumed there wouldn't be a lot of new content in this game. 🤷‍♂️

The text completely ignores her and is just talking about the basket she's holding, as it seems to be the focus of the page.

I was thinking she might be Hylia. A lot of things match. Pointed ears. Blonde hair. But her ears appear to be way bigger than a normal Hylians and she's wearing clothes with the new designs we have seen in this game so far.

I really wonder about the relationship between the race of the mural figure and the race of pointy-eared Strawberry Shortcake - which one is responsible for the Zonai architecture? It’s clear from the mural that they have some sort of pact together

I don't know who it is but they're gorgeous. They don't seem to match the person in the latest trailer tho.

Honestly new characters/species help differentiate the game from BotW, that’s prob it

There seems to be anti rain climbing gear made from monster skin, with suction cups on the hands.

Theory time. Spoiler covers the creature from the Zonai mural, which the artbook unmasks.

Images:

Its been posted a few times already, but the individual on the Zonai mural is outright named Rauru in the art book. The mural depicts two characters: this Rauru, and a woman in a dress. I wonder if Rauru is both characters? Their massive dagger-like ears, of course, are a big visual similarity. They also both have a third eye; the woman has the appearance of one through jewelry, and Rauru either has an actual third eye or similarly just looks to have one because they're wearing a headpiece. They also both wear brown anklets, but seemingly on opposing legs.

The fact that both characters are shown together at the same time and place in the mural, though, kinda makes my theory bunk. Buuuut it could theoretically show Zelda after she has taken human-Rauru's gowns? OoT Rauru isn't just the Sage of Light: he's also the descendent of Zelda's father. Maybe they'll present TotK Rauru and Zelda as having a teacher-pupil relationship in an allusion to that original connection?

Rauru also has some small visual similarities to the Lord of the Mountain and its new frog friend: namely, all three have long white manes and a white plus teal colour scheme. As Rauru is/was the Sage of Light, I can see there being a connection between all three.

Just a few notes:
First of all, look how lovely this looks. I like how the artstyle seems a bit more colorful and that they seem to have a bit more flowers here and there than in BOTW.

I think this is the full (ground) map. It looks a bit bigger to the ends in north and east no?

I think this is the most interesting one of them all:

Wait a minute, in that map of Hyrule, there's a giant temple in the middle instead of Hyrule Castle. Is that a different / past Hyrule ?

Because the last few trailers barely showed us anything. Just the same environments, same mechanics, same plot beats (evil undead monster taking over the world, Hyrule castle floating into the sky). Here we can actually see things that Nintendo most likely didn't want us to see yet.

For me, it's confirmation that a) we might get Hyrule Castle Town back and b) the game isn't just some DLC pack for BOTW.

love some of these new enemy designs.

Looking at these guys closer and they appear to be evolved forms of the little one-eyed gem lizard guy. Maybe these are adult forms or maybe the little lizards grow to these guys in real time.

It say's カックーダ (kakkūda). Not that familiar with Zelda if that the term given to Kargorak in Japanese.

this is every enemy (included old ones with new designs)/what I believe could be enemies, I could find in the artbook (except for skeleton guy). The artbook doesn't show everything (like that multi-headed dragon on the bridge or even that bigger looking bokoblin in the recent trailer).

Looks like instead of having destroyable weapons, you have a sword but you can attach presumably destructible parts to it after you knock it off an enemies head to turn it into a different type of weapon.

Just looking up "Kakkuda" and "Kargarok" it doesn't seem like they're associated, this could be a totally new enemy type.

See, that's what's kinda funny to me. I get why this reaction is there (visual difference) but technically stuff like new NPCs/enemies is more like what you'd find in a DLC than whole new massive floating landmass or entirely new free-form systems

“... When it comes down to technical things, DLC is pretty much data — you’re adding data to a preexisting title. And so when we wanted to add bigger changes, DLC is not enough, and that’s why we thought maybe a sequel would be a good fit.,”

The art contained evidence of new races, new settlements, and possibly a rebuilt Hyrule Castle Town.

We got none of that in the trailers.
