I believe from what we know this is far enough along in development (including assets and netcode) that it'd be strange for it to be binned at this point. They added assets to it after launch too

Not trying to disagree with you, it'd be super weird for it to not appear at this point. Just mentioning now that not everything that gets datamined will eventually show up.

I just learned that they did keep adding assets for the rocket mode after the above video o posted too, to the point where in a later version they actually added the rocket model,



I really hope these or some other new ranked modes do actually show up before 3s updates are done.
 
I don't see any acknowledgement of communications errors or hard crashes on the patch notes :(



  • Fixed an issue in Splatfest Turf War battles when using the Color Lock option where the ink-color combination would not turn to yellow and blue.

I don't know if this was what happened during the last Splatfest (the locked colors were blue and bluer :p)



  • Fixed an issue in the Undertow Spillway stage where certain walls, when inked by a bomb’s explosion, would be inked in locations that differed from the explosion.
I wonder if this means the walls of the middle platform will finally be painted by Burst Bombs.
 
Are you thinking of tricolour? In turf war with two teams, it's yellow and blue, in tricolour the third teams colour could arguably be called bluer. (It's yellow, light blue and dark blue for some reason... https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Ink#Color_Lock_2 )
I always got the same two blue colors, no matter the mode.

Jesus they absolutely murdered missiles. Maybe too much? I'd like to be able to play goo tuber since it practically seems like we won't get a 2nd kit for it until this time next year

210 on Forge Pro...I swear the devs hate me. My friend who plays Rollers hated every kit that had Splash Wall on it. She aint gonna be happy, especially if it is a donwgrade from Splat roller. The big swig kit would be kinda fun if it was on a Dynamo instead. We shall see how it performs in the end.

These new weapon kits are...kinda funky to be polite.


Edit: Custom Jr. is 180p? Okay, I hope I like this weapon then.
 
Absolutely evil they're making a badge tied to getting the seasonal banners and titles with the gacha. If you were like me and didn't get one of them last season you're already locked out of getting the gold badge that requires you to get every single one for all 8 seasons
 
200 or less, its just 10p but given its paint output and current status of the weapon, I didn't expect 210, especially compared to the much better painting Sloshing Machine which also has a 210 Booyah.
I wasn't expecting over 200, since that's the default, and pro isn't exactly the strongest main weapon
Yeah, seems like it didn't need to go over 200 cause the Pro isn't the best at painting and Booyah! Bomb isn't that strong either (compared to S2, imo).

Just saw this and WTF?! This doesn't feel like something the developer team would do, considering that outside of the Famitsu gear, nothing has been truly missable.

(I was/am expecting seasonal titles/banners to be available later, tho)

Looking at Nova tweet. Between Glooga and H3 range sounds like its range is nearly identical to Splattershot Pro. If I am understanding the tweet correctly, Splattershot Nova ink consumption and fire rate is identical to the regular Splattershot. So its a Splattershot with Splattershot Pro range, Aerospray damage, and slightly different accuracy values. So it definitely kills slower than Splattershot Pro. If the paint and movement is good maybe its fine but Point Sensor might end up hurting this kit...and I like point sensor.

Played Salmon Run for one hour. Today's kit was already good, but the Big Shot nerf made a huge difference 👌🏻
We defeated Cohozuna 3 times and only once we didn't complete the 3 waves.


Played a few turf wars matches and this is probably placebo + the result of playing Pokémon Violet the last couple days, but does the game feel faster/smoother/snappier to anyone else?

Probaly placebo. I just started my Violet journey a few minutes ago and good lord.

Without some changes, almost nobody is getting that gold, lol.

Since they have a appearance rate of 0.1% and the number, any given player is going to at some point need about a thousand+ pulls on the machine within a season to get round to it in their seed, meaning you need to be earning 300k+ every single day that you spend purely on the shell out machine.

Which, yeah good luck, nobody with a job or real life responsibilities is doing that.

I tried to do some warming up before the new update dropped yesterday, and OOF I SUCKED SO BAD LMAO

I also managed to mess up my usual gear by rerolling the abilities and now I'm also at 0 shells. XD

Guess I'll ease in with some more turf wars before even daring to touch Ranked LOL.

Stamper is already so cracked in Salmon Run especially in Xtra Wave, Cohozuna must be terrified beyond imagination looking at Mr. Grizz' new illegal toy

There's no new titles and banners besides the ones in the catalog, and only a couple of locker decorations and stickers (not counting the new weapon ones)

They might just be playing stuff closer to this chest this time around, really. We know there's gonna be a mid season update they could sneak stuff into if they wanted.

Yeah, that one too (gold version of the highest level banner in the catalog). But there's no random new banners or titles to obtain.
 
If they keep bringing 1 old battle stage back with every season what are your hopes for the next 7?

Ranked with my most wanted on top:

1. Piranha Pit (though it was in the past 2 games so I fear it kills its chances)
2. The Reef (already datamined so hopefully it's not canned)
3. Manta Maria
4. Ancho-V Games (same as Piranha Pit)
5. Bluefin Depot
6. Urchin Underpass
7. the real Mahi Mahi Resort and Hammerhead Bridge, this is actually my #1 and no other old stage please

I think so actually. On paper from what i have seen not so great. But things like movement and painting can make up alot for things. I just saw Big Swig video and the horizontal flick paints extremely well and looks to be better than Dynamo painting. That makes the kit look pretty solid in modes like Zones.

5h looks at least better than Bamboozler and might be the best painting charger with its stored shots.

Nova...eh...Im going to have to play it myself but it looks like yet another medium range shooter that is lacking in areas.

I'd love to see Bluefin Depot, given that they don't mutilate it like they did with Mahi Mahi and Hammerhead of course. If they keep the middles separated it would be the first map in this game with 2 separate centres instead of 1, which would provide some sweet sweet variety

Big Swig looks decent, but what's got me worried is that, while it relies on horizontal, it's nigh impossible to kill with it in 1 horizontal swing. That's really rough given that its swings are slightly slower than splat roller already. You don't have the time to swing twice in most situations and the lack of special or sub that can help with damage doesn't help either.

Imo they should've binned the vertical swing on this one and have it horizontal only, but more damage such that it can actually kill in 1 swing.

I agree. My preliminary opinion is that best case scenario it performs similar to exploser where the ink output is annoying to enemies and the wall/vac makes the weapon difficult to approach. In the worst case scenario i see it playing similar to Blobblober which isnt great but would still be able to do some things and have its own identity.
