That's good to hear. Thought they wouldn't do much for Nintendo after MP4's reboot.
Nintendo loves contracting KT/Bamco SEA studios for cheap contract work, they will never stop working with Nintendo unless Nintendo opens it’s own SEA studios or the relationship with Bamco is broken.

Then who was? I mean i know the rumours say bamco was doing a worldwide scheme, but singapore is the only name they mention
it's the only name mentioned because that's where the job listings were found. Bamco Singapore supports Bandai Namco Japan proper. MP4 was most likely being developed there with parts done in other locations. Singapore did have a lead on Ace Combat 7's DLC for instance, but they didn't do the whole thing

I think I may have found the name of Next Level Games' engine when I was searching through the Luigi's Mansion 3 executable: NeoPlum, there are strings in the executable with the name in directories and other stuff such as 'NeoPlum Next Level Games'. I'm gonna check if it is the same with Mario Strikers: Battle League.

EDIT: It doesn't seem to be referenced at all in Battle League's executable, maybe NeoPlum is the codename for Luigi's Mansion 3 specifically.

Anything in their prior games? On Wii, Captain America, etc.?

NeoPlum is Luigi's Mansion, or at least that's what shows up on TCRF

Minegishi being sorted under Group 7 in the interview header is weird, right? Unless i’m missing something he hasn’t worked on any EPD 7 projects, definitely not in recent years.

Toru Minegishi will always be most known as the co-composer of Pokemon Stadium 1 to me alongside Kenta Nagata and Hajime Wakai. Just wish I knew which tracks were by who. :p

Yeah, I was under the impression that the sound staff weren't tied to specific groups and could move around as needed.

Even if there's been some reorganization of the groups based on what EPD 2 covers now, Minegishi is still in a completely different group to Nogami/Inoue/Sato.

I really wish sometimes that Nintendo transformed EPD teams into separated subsidiaries like Bandai Namco did with Bandai Namco Studios. Its a lot easier to look at than a division I think.
All Nintendo EPD studios (bar Tokyo) are in the same building and the games made share a lot of developers even if made by different groups, it doesn’t make sense to really separate it in different studios. Nintendo works more like modern Capcom really

Oh I know. Nintendo EPD is more like SE Craetive business unit, Capcom, Sega and Konami. I guess I wish they had the division as subsidiaries because they would be named and it would be easier to identify who works on what. With EPD its a bit harder to do it unlike with idk, Sony or Microsoft.

Do we have any idea what this could be ?

This is from 2018. On his LinkedIn the unannounced project became the 3DS port of Captain Toad; and on his personal site’s resume he now includes both said port and the game’s DLC as separate listings. He left Nintendo in 2019 so I imagine the 2023 date was a placeholder for the latter project.

I think that makes 2D Mario coming in 2023 look very very likely.

I was gonna say yeah, this makes sense given we know 2D Mario is in the works presumably at EPD 10. Might be good news for the Pikmin series, too?

I was wondering something after looking at Splatoon 3 credits but.. shouldn't Aya Kyogoku be credited in some way in the game now that she's the manager of EPD5? Generally those are either producer or general producer but she wasn't mentioned at all. Was it because the title was in development before she was promoted or there's no influence?

Today everyone is writing that monolith helped out in splatoon, even thought it was a more reduced role than 2 based on the credits, they frame it as if the main team worked on it. They helped out in 2 and other projects, this is not news lol. But again I am not surprise people don't know many teams work on a Nintendo game.

They barely worked on it,5 artists of 128,namco singapure had 10x more staff on the game but in the past games they helped a lot

Monolith Soft graphic support role on Splatoon 3 was rather minimal. It's kind of disingenuous or at least misleading how there is no distinction between Xenoblade 2 and Splatoon 3 on their website.

The framing there is also misinformed. "Oh Monolith is soo important because they worked on Splatoon 3 and so many other games" -- yeah but alongside the same crew of companies contracted to work on assets on every first-party game. Obviously Zelda is an outlier where Monolith is a stronger support unit on production rather than the other asset jobs,
