Tried looking it up, and unfortunately if this github post is accurate, the only games that make use of NPLN thus far as of June 2022 is Pokemon Legends Arceus (for...trading), Monster Hunter Rise, and the demoes for MH: Rise and Sunbreak

I get that games would have had needed time to get implemented, but since learning that Strikers is still on NEX, I honestly have no idea what will become of Splatoon 3's online connectivity servers. It's probably 50/50 on either it or Strikers being the last full price Nintendo game to not use NPLN

I guess the splatfest demo will finally tell if it will work for me or not
 
So Disney+ increasing it's price...and Netflix, Spotify and others doing it earlier. Sony and Nintendo adding pricey tiers and MS already having quite a big cost and will likely increase it further in the not too distant future. I think services are starting to price themselves out for me.. I also have a few other local (swedish) services which also costs roughly the same as the big ones.

Between the 10 or so services I have I think on average I pay close to 150$ a month for all of it. And that's just insane.
 
Gotta decide if I’m getting that Shin-Chan game while the discount is still there. Anyone play the JP version?

Trying to install Proton GE on my Deck because for a few games I've got the cutscenes and audio don't work right otherwise so I've got to go into desktop mode and use the Discover app but the app is stuck on 99% updating and from what I've read online that just happens to some people and sometimes turning wifi off, turning the handheld off, then turning both back on fixes it but it didn't for me and oh god.

This is why consoles exist lol.
 
My hand just had an episode like holy shit . Could barely feel or move it and it's shaking a good but

It's back under control but still shaky

No clue what triggered it. I've barely been playing games at all

From writing three game STs, I like to do the following things:
  • An information section taken from the store page on the online eShop
  • Sections for major modes (I often use official material like websites to help myself out). For Splatoon, probably have sections for the standard online modes, Single Player, Salmon Run, the rotating events, maybe even for updates/DLC?
  • If you know image editing, having some graphics, like banners, to spice things up and separate sections.
  • A trailers and media section for reviews, official videos, etc.
I imagine Splatoon 3 is a pretty ambitious ST to cover, so I wish you good luck!

Thank you! I was planning on making some nice graphics :) and I'll definitely be looking at other game STs for inspiration as well

All I can add to what VolcanicDynamo has said is to make sure to make the ST your own. Don't be afraid to give it some personality, some flavour that makes it stand out among other STs. And above all else, have fun creating it!

Nintendo has been pretty consistent in releasing classic games on NSO this year. Is Sony's subscription service really that bad?

it actually got a lot of stuff right off the bat. Most of the PS3 games I assume came from Now since they stream, but there were a good chunk of PS1, PS2, and PSP games. The problem has been the last two updates had 2 classic games added when there are thousands of games to add. I’m sure there are licensing issues but at least nintendo has mostly had a regular cadence. The Extra tier of Plus definitely seems worth it if you are coming in without having played a lot of PS4/5 games before though.

it boils down to a few things

1. Unfounded takes about wanting a multiplayer game to have a single player focus
2. Fair takes about wanting to see a bit more iteration / new modes / etc. than we did
3. People butting heads over 1 + 2 including Apple and oranges comparisons to Pokemon and Breath of the Wild 2 for… some reason

Generally not a very pleasant time

We haven’t saw enough of the solo for anyone to have a take on it but, even if it’s a multiplayer game, people wouldn’t be wrong expecting a solo more akin to Octo-Expansion or World of Light than the Splat 2 solo.

I watched season 1 then couldn't bring myself to get 5 minutes into season 2 because I realized it was basically a teen drama.

Hey all I'll likely not be playing anything for a while longer till I go see a doctor about the hand thing for sure after what happened today

Wanted to start Xenoblade Friday but now I'm hesitant and I'll miss the sonic event in fall guys which starts tomorrow

The key was making an input function that disabled the HUD.

I'm right there with you, I'm a bit over 80 and just beat Chapter 5. It's going to take me a while just to beat the game, much less get into postgame and all that
 
So you guys also thinking/hoping we’ll see the next NSO n64 game announced tomorrow? What you guys thinking will be announced? Wave race and Excitebike would be obvious summer picks. Then again it could also be a roadmap, or a surprise like a third party
