Sounds like Jeff Grubb was onto something with the multiple smaller announcements. I think this format is kinda cool actually!

also zelda will never be released and a switch successor isn't happening until 2037 so i'm fine with smaller fry like this
I mean i am down for that if we get something each week for a month or something

GD this game looks so good. I already have huge nostalgia for the first game given the time it was for me. So I just am so excited for it. I think the first game also has some of the best DLC ever up there with Octo expansion.

Plus the music this go around?!? Imagine the Galaxy remasters?? Ugh

Looks great. I’m worried about the switch to the battles not being turned based as that’s a radical change, but I have high hopes for this.
From what I understand the battles are still turn based. They are just got rid of the grid based gamplay, and you now have direct control over the characters.

Who else wants to cry?

Funny you say this because Galaxy is the game that made me a Nintendo fan again in 2012 after not owning one of their consoles for 12 years.
So I really have this nostalgic feeling when hearing this. Really helped me out of a deep depression back then. What a masterpiece.

It's nice to see the roster expand but it's a bit of a bummer they, so far at least, don't seem to care about adding Rayman himself. Would be cool.
I am here for it; I hope he is able to make and appearance!!!

I would. I'd rather have so many other Mario characters. Let Rayman stay dead.
Sounds more like you just don't want him. I mean, that does make more sense than actually not being able to wrap your head around how they could put Rayman in a Rabbid game.

I’d imagine that Ubisoft has no intentions to push Rayman as an IP like they do with Rabbids so for them it makes little sense to add Rayman other than for fanservice.

There's only one _______man around here and that's me

???

The Gold Edition of the game includes:
  • The base game
  • The season pass which contains upcoming DLC packs, including additional story content featuring new heroes, quests, and battles.
  • Also includes the Galactic Prestige Pack, with three exclusive and supremely stylish weapon skins for your team, unlockable right away. Save the galaxy, but do it with pizzazz!
Hopefully the new heroes are usable in the base game this time instead of a separate thing

since we know that you can have any combination of party members this time (you don’t need to always have a Rabbid)…

Who else is planning a Mario-Bowser-Peach party in tribute to Super Mario RPG? :)

Rayman. More like Deadman

BELIEVE!!

I didn't have much interest in the first one, but Bowser and Rabbid Rosalina have very much piqued my interest

Ubisoft loves releasing screenshots at ridiculous resolutions (Red Steel on Wii :p ), but other than that this looks reasonably realistic. The original is still one of the best looking games on Switch.

Didn't really like the X-Com gameplay even though it was well-made for sure. Hope there's a bit more flow to it this time.

Also curious how the Ubisoft scandals relate to Soliani's team...

I just love how Bowser's size continues to fluctuate depending on each game he's in. Some games he's a giant, but in this game Peach is like just as tall as he is.

Still, this does look really good and I'll be up for it day 1. I do echo thoughts that I wish we had more characters in the base game. Hope they pick some good Mario charaters for DLC. The personalities of Wario, Walugi and Daisy would be perfect for a game like this.

Looks fantastic.

I'm not sure how I feel about changing from grid-based action, but it will certainly make sure the game feels like a true sequel and doesn't feel like an expansion pass.

Glad that Yoshi and DK are gone - they didn't add a huge amount and it keeps the roster fresh. You can't drop Mario, Luigi and Peach so it had to be them.

Those screenshots are gorgeous - clearly high-res dev "bullshots" but they show off the visuals beautifully - I love how despite it being Mario IP the whole look is very "Ubisoft", just like the first. This is one of very few upcoming switch games I have any interest for.

I wish we saw more outside of battles, though I guess we have the showcase tomorrow!
