Discussion Nobody told me that Persona Q had better battle themes than the mainline entries

What the heck. This is fire.

I legitimately think that the Q subseries has the best battle themes when it comes to Persona. Feel free to fight me.

But now comes the funny part : how is it that Nintendo could enjoy Meguro's services for Persona games released on its platforms yet he did not compose anything for the mainline SMT series? But whatever. Enjoy the tracks.

Persona Q had an amazing OST in general. The boss battle themes like Best Friend or The Infinite are great as well.

Don’t know if it’s in your video, but the version of Light The Fire Up In The Night that was included as a preorder bonus is supremely hype.

Broke: "OMG ATLUS, the makers of Persona! So good!
Woke: "Persona is a low tier ATLUS IP"

Etrian Odyssey we miss you dearly.

It also had an amazing opening:

Hell yeah. While I limited this thread to battle themes, I also think Q1 + Q2 taken together have a better soundtrack than 5 and Royal. They were the last games in which Meguro shone bright.

Which makes me want to see either the tracks themselves or the games on modern hardware.

Yeah, Persona Q are great and underrated games. Wish we had gotten a Persona Q3 on Switch but we don't even got a new Etrian Odissey yet...

The best part of Light the Fire Up in the Night is the two versions depending if playin p3/p4 side

Persona Q is a wonderful game with some really cool dungeons, terrifically funny writing, fantastic battle system, and a soundtrack that is just full of bangers.

Laser Beam slaps hard.

Persona Q's music was actually done by Atsushi Kitajoh of Trauma Center and newcomer Toshiki Konishi. Given that Meguro left Atlus, they'll more than likely take the reigns come Persona 6. They've been doing great work with Persona 5 Strikers and Royal.

Persona Q and Q2 are such underrated gems, and yeah the ost is full of bangers. Not even the battle themes but all of the songs in the games are great. I think the P5-influenced tracks in Q2 are better than a lot of the P5 proper's ost

Persona Q was on my backlog, but I have sold my 3DS. Even though I had lots of games to still play on the system, I just couldn't get my self to use it again. But if Atlus ends porting it to modern systems, I would probably get to play it
