Dude why you posting a bunch of fake ass 4chan leaks that cleary been debunked ages ago....

Wait wait wait

The leak...
that has Sonic 5 with Uekewa art...
is REAL???????
Biggest takeaway is the POSSIBILITY that it's Switch-exclusive, which considering Sonic's 3rd-party history is long overdue, as we've had Nintendo-exclusives on literally EVERY Nintendo system since. For GC, we got Sonic Mega Collection (it was changed quite a bit even when ported as Plus 2 years later) and Sonic Gems Collection was GC-exclusive in NA but that of course is "debatable".

I wonder if Sonic 5 is a possible return to form from Dimps and a proper Advance/Rush successor and not just... the awful mess Sonic 4 Ep. 1 (and to a lesser extent 2) were.

Was there anything to the speculation about Chao gardens I saw earlier on?

There are probably a handful of you who will understand this, but just implementing a Chao garden would be enough incentive for me to spend an ungodly amount of hours playing whatever this game turns out to ultimately be.

Is there an indication somewhere that it's Dimps? Because I'd much rather it be made by Taxman and Headcannon..
Though if, like you say, it's more a return to Advance/Rush I'd still be down

This means that the full SF trailer will air on June 29th and the release date will be revealed.

Unfortunately not yet

Uekawa art implies it, as that's been used in all the Advance games and both Rush games. I'd assume Taxman and co. would just stick to classic Sonic again with the style they used for Mania and Origins.

Ah, true. Gotcha.

This was a thread with an interesting perspective. Portrays the game as filled with lots of technical issues but still compelling in spite of that. I'm really curious of the final product...I feel it'll be a real love it or hate it game. Like, some will be able to see past the lack of polish and see a diamond in the rough, but others will be marred in a sea of issues.

Kinda feels like a microcosm of 3D Sonic in general, if I'm thinking about it.

So this game has been sort of a haze of information/unformation so I'm not sure if this has been asked or covered at all, but...

Has it been said whether the game will perform fundamentally different between PS4/Xbone and PS5/SeriesXS? I might, maybe get this on Xbone (don't tell anyone I said that) and am curious if anything has been said about what the spec difference will do for the game or even what platform these demos have been running on. I don't need 4K but if PS5/SeriesXS is the only way to avoid low framerates and bad pop-in I'm gonna be kinda sad.

From the article:
"As we're thinking about making an open zone game, in the very beginning it was like what exactly is that going to mean," says Iizuka. "We had to figure it out...All right, if we just make this a hot mess of platforming all over the place, you're gonna walk in there and it'll be like I don't even know what's going on.
...I wanna hear Iizuka-san say the words "hot mess."

It honestly sort of sounds like Pokémon Legends Arceus.

A very messy game overall, but it's foundation is so absurdly engaging it becomes way more than the sum of its parts.

I think I am on the cautiously optimistic train for now.

Can I just say how much better these players are than whoever recorded the IGN stuff too. I really can't believe someone at Sega was playing like that.

Getting the impression Frontiers is gonna be interesting, but also that it's a bit like Pokemon Legends Arceus, a testbed for ideas that might work in a future game once fully developed.

Great comparison. If only the press would treat it fairly in comparison lol

Honestly, I don't give a shit. People were horny for Pyra snd Bowsette, my girlfriend loves both of them. Which is why they will be in the next game.
